1965 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This pretty Southern California based Beetle Sedan is quite the looker.
It has been with the current owner now for a few years and he has had his fun
and now it is time to move on to another adventure.

He purchased the car restored through an online auction
and has enjoyed and maintained it well.

It is a very clean restoration inside and out and the car presents itself well.

Its not an over the top insane show car restoration by any means, but
the more I looked at it the more I was pleased with the overall package of it.

I always make it a goal to point out any flaws and deficiencies if I can as I think its important
that people know what they are getting.  Things like the aftermarket replacement bumpers and headlights on this car.
There is nothing wrong with them, in fact they are in fantastic condition, but these are the little details
the set apart a top level restoration from the rest of the pack.  Obviously the original German parts
are hard to find and can be very expensive, and thankfully there are options like these available so
a car can be brought back to glory and can still remain an affordable thing for most folks.

While I can point out details like replacement parts, I must say that this little car is very very clean.
Nce paint and body work inside and out and a nice attention to detail overall.
It has minor upgrades such as a 12 volt conversion with alternator which makes it much nicer to use in todays world.

The engine is a very stock 40hp that runs fantastic and shows well.

Engine case dates to 1960 it appears...so still the proper 40 Horsepower engine that was available in 1965
but not the original engine for the car...and it has obviously got the fresh air heater system and other details that are correct for 1965.

The underside of the car has been nicely undercoated and for the most part appears very solid and sound.

There are signs of slight repair in spots but this does not look like it was ever a heavily wrecked or rusted car.

Sighting across the chassis, she is looking good.
The area under the battery has had a panel replaced but the rest looks proper original

Repair looks very solid, but was not done withe the proper pressing replacement...just flat steel.

I love the roof rack and whitewalls and the red on the wheels ties in the interior colors very nicely.
It is really cute and clean.

Headliner is nice and clean and the dome light works

Wood slat roof rack is a very nice addition and it is in very good condition.

Just lovely

Wide whites and the trim rings give it a very classic look.

Odometer reads 94,000 miles and change but the actual mileage and history of the car is a bit unknown.
The previous owner did not share rebuild details or history, so the current owner had little to share in return.
He does have service records through his ownership at least and also has a nice factory VW shop manual that he will include in the sale.

All the way wound it looks great

Excellent glass and rubber and the seals have the proper aluminum trim.

It is such a happy little car.

Under the hoods are clean as well.

There are signs of a previous front end collision at some point that was pulled back out where it needed to be.
Some wrinkles remain visible when the spare tire is pulled out.

Original jack is in the holder

Door jams are clean and solid
Nice quality carpets and floor mats

Interior is really nice.
Great color combination and well trimmed out.
Dash is super clean and un-cut, I love the parcel tray and the coco mats.
The handles and controls are all very cleanly restored and painted.

Glove box is clean as well (but no gloves...)

Three point vintage style seat belts

Seat belts out back as well

Window rubbers and felts look good

Great original radio

All just very clean inside and out.

Headliner install is a little wrinkly by the back window...

Door panels look great

And the end note on this one is neatly framed with an accessory trim dealie!

This is a nice car inside and out that is perfect for someone that wants a fun driver or weekend toy that
will garner endless compliments wherever you go, and at the same time it is not so precious that you would
feel the need to trailer it to events or spend your whole life polishing it.  This is done at a really enjoyable level.
Someone is truly going to fall in love with this one...is it you?
