1956 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This coral red 56 was restored about 20 years ago. It was a full restoration, top to bottom
and it was done to a pretty high standard. The car has been used and driven a fair bit over the past years
and it shows a little age here and there but remains a very solid and attractive car inside and out.

Very stock and proper in it's build...the classic VW all the way.
Not lowered or messed with, still the stock mechanicals, etc.

36 horse engine runs well, it is a good driver.
Note the correct rear apron is in place.
Bumpers appear to be aftermarket replacements but the chrome looks decent.
Car has been garaged.

The distributor is a modern replacement, but the rest of the engine looks very proper and correct.

Still 6 volt electrics and such.

Underneath looks very dry overall. The stock split case transmission is in the car.

Looks like the heaters are commented properly...looking up past the suspension and everything it looks very solid indeed.

Floorpans are superb!
This is a very solid example to be sure.

Front suspension detail.

Nice stuff!
No longer a "show car" with it's layer of dust but with a little clean up...who knows!

Huge thanks to the owner of the muffler shop that allowed use of the lift...so cool to see under a car like this!
It answers a ton of questions in peoples minds.

Tires look very good, exhaust has a layer of surface rust as normal .

Cheese grater exhaust tip trim is there...a little bent but still cool.

Proper stock stance and color.

Front end looks good.
Some chips and scratches here and there on the exterior, but no major damage.
Happich style headlight eyebrows are a rare find.

Firestone wide whitewall tires and the two tone painted wheels...so nice.
I like seeing the VW logo detail painted like this too...it looks so good.

Some slight fae to the mirror and a little bit of surface rust on the stem.

Looks like she is missing a wiper blade on the passenger side...but it is the correct early style hood with the flat
area under the emblem rather than the raised portion of later models.

Here you can see the profile of thoe headlight eyebrows a little better...
Hood looks nice and straight as well.

Interior shows minimal signs of use...nice to see the proper German loop carpets and the aluminum trim around the heater vents.

Parcel tray is a great accessory and one of the cooler styles that were made. Dash looks very nice
with no modifications and a nice "blumenvasen" in the middle.

Door panels are warping just slightly and need to be re-attached...lifting a little on the edge.

Seats look good.

Rear seat is excellent...cool bolster pillows in the back.
Looks like some light staining to the mohair headliner but still very presentable.

Ashtray is missing it's chrome cover.

Good looking car though...a few little details to attend to but nothing major.

The turn signal is missing off the drivers side front...these parts are available and it would not be
a difficult or expensive thing to fix.
Looks like some paint damage right under the signal pod and another sratch at the fender edge.

The car is located in the Los Angeles area by the way...

Love these Ovals!

Mudflaps!

More interior shots...steeing wheel looks to be in great shape.

Nice.

Wolfsburg crest.

In closing this looks like a good solid decent car for a very reasonable price.
Put just a little effort into fixing some little things and touching up a couple scratches and it will be even nicer!
I think this one will probably sell fast.
