Stunning 1958 Euro Ragtop Cal Looker For Sale

This is a very sweet looking late 50's Beetle that has been freshly
restored by its
Missouri based owner. It looks to have been done to a very high standard
and the color combo, stance and materials used make it a very
attractive vehicle.

This is a Euro model car with the semaphore turn signals and short
bumper guards.
58 was the first year for the larger front and rear windows and
the "new style" dashboard.

Very nice drop job and classic "Resto-Cal" look.
Reproduction "Sprint Star" wheels, tasteful addition of some accessories
Great paint color... WOW!

Roof rack and deck lid rack , pop out rear quarter windows, ceramic
coated exhaust.

Very well detailed and all seriously like brand new.

Low but not "slammed"
4" narrowed front beam, still stock drum brakes.

Pop out windows are a very welcome accessory for a sunroof car.

Semaphore turn signals! (and a peek inside too...more on the interior
later)

Sunroof cover is all new, wood slat roof rack is a great addition as
well.

All new window rubbers, body trim, runningboards and an excellent paint
job.

Driven very minimally since completion earlier this year.
I spy what looks to be a small touched up chip on the hood in this photo
but overall it is gorgeous and show-ready.

Euro style headlight lenses and small driving lights.
Nice to see the fenders smooth without the signal lights on the
top...very clean
and on this car, totally correct.

Nice "tuck" to the front wheels thanks to the narrowed beam.
Front tires are 135-15's.

Lets look in a bit closer and see the details.

Under the hood is beautifully detailed, matching spare too.

Wiring cover is glossy smooth and shiny, wiring is all new,
very nice level of detail under the hood.

Fuel tank is painted in grey.

Under the hood is shiny too...original style hood prop in in place.

Proper early front apron, nice detail to the latch mechanism.

Looks very straight and clean in the spare tire well.

Here you can see the clean wiring and detail...nice to see clean
hardware used to fit the tank and such.
These are the small details that really make a car stand out at the
shows.

The interior is fantastic in the car and is well trimmed with not only
the best quality materials,
but a handfull of great accessories.

Bajo steering wheel with Golden Lady horn push.
Under dash parcel tray, glove box mounted modern audio system.

Upholstery is done in the proper early German cloth and the carpets
are excellent quality as well.

Rare and desirable seat recliners.

New seatbelts in all locations...nice to see the chrome trim on the
door panels.

Headliner looks well fit .

Here in this photo you can see the detail of the material...really nice
stuff.

Wicker parcel tray looks cool. Shifter has a quick shift plate
hidden below
looks very clean, nice to see the fire extingusher in there for safety.

Gorgeous!

Behind the back seat is a speaker box to crank out the tunes.

Engine is reshly built and extremely clean.
36 horse style fan shroud and canister oil filter gives it a very
Porsche 356 style appearance.

Proper "H" pattern apron.

Underside of the engine lid is very clean.

Deep oil sump and modern oil filter system...very clean under here and
look at the detailing in the fender wells!

Chromed spring plates and caps catch your eye as you peek in behind the
wheel.
Transmission is a freeway flyer unit built by Dave Folts, and it is
geared excellent.
Heavy duty clutch...all done this year...fresh fresh fresh.

Chassis is very solid but is un-restored.
The builder shose to leave it as it is so potential buyers know exactly
what they are getting.
I prefer that over a fresh undercoat actually, but I think such a coat
would improve the look from below.

Over all I really love the look of this car.
I have always likes the 58-59 models and their metallic paint
colors...a sense of class that
was lost in the early 60's when it all went to solid colors.

Great stance...great car, you would be very hard pressed to have a car
restored to this level for the asking price.

Decklid rack looks great with it's wood strips...the color plays well
against the paint.

Sweet car. I think based on what I am seeing here, this is a sweetheart
of a ride at a very realistic price.
