1967 Beetle Sedan For Sale

This is a sweet little 67 Beetle that belongs to a local couple.
They have owned it for a few years and have had their fun, now they want to pass the fun on to someone else.
Its a clean driver, a few nice design choices and upgrades and overall just a happy little machine.

It was restored in 2004-5 and the restorer did a pretty decent job of it.
It wasnt a higgh end restoration but thumbing through the receipts, the guy did spend quite a bit.

67's a a popular year with the VW faithful...and many refer to them as the "best year" made.
Im not sure I agree with that personally, but I do agree that 67's have the best of the newer models
and in still the early look. It was the first year for the 1500cc engine in a Beetle, first year for 12 volt electrics,
first year for standard sealed beam headlights in normal rings (instead of behind glass), the last year for the
painted dashboard, and the last year for the "towel rail" bumpers (in the US). There are also a few other unique attributes as well.

And this one is a fine example of the year.
Not restored to factory standards, but still a nice mild custom that still has that Vintage look.

The 67 only rear eangine lid is in very nice shape...the bumpers are aftermarket units in decent shape (a few minor flaws)

Pretty nice bodywork...very straight down the sides.
One piece windows in the doors give it a clean look, as does the tasteful two tone paintwork.

Its smiling at you...

View down the drivers side.

Very nice stainless steel wood slat roof rack from Flat 4.

Excellent glass and rubber all the way around.

The little black dealie is the XM radio antenna (just magnet mounted)

Nice accessory fingernail guard under the hood handle.
A couple of stone chips in spots, but very minimal.

Small ding in the front bumper.

Front trunk has a nice carpet kit in it...so you can stash your clean clothes up here and keep em clean.

Spare tire cover is also nice and clean.

A little spillage mess in the spare tire well but nothing that is an issue.

Nice and straight in here.

Fuel tank is an aftermarket large capacity version which is great for those long drives.

Out back lets lift the lid and take a peek.

Stocker 1600cc engine with 12 volt alternator and MSD ignition.
Engine runs nice and the car drives well.

A little closer peek at the engine...it's not wildly clean in here but it also isnt a grease ball.

The MSD distributor.

Custom header with fat tweeter pipes sounds nice and beefy.

A little wetness under the engine but nothing out of the ordinary.

Solid drivers side floor pan and heater channels.

Passenger side has had a repair just under the battery, but it appears solid.

Under the front end...

Nice wide chrome wheels with very good tires all the way around.

Nice car dont you think?

Steering wheel in ivory looks great on the inside.

Odometer reads around 22,000 miles. Actual mileage on the car is unknown.

Original radio fills the dash (non functional)

Original owners manual in the glove box.

Modern CD stereo and XM receiver hidden nicely in the glove box.

Clean headliner.

Very nice...dome light works too.

Nice carpeted speaker panel in back.

Seats are done in a nice velour insert with vinyl upholstery...looks nice.

Not much wear to be found...the car has not been driven a whole heck of a lot it appears.

Empi door sills look nice.

Smart center console gives you a spot for your small goodies.
Nice speaker install in the front kick panels.

Very clean under the dash.

Heater fan booster switch?

The heater works great by the way (for you cold climate folks)
Nice fan boosters installed to help move the air faster into the cabin.

Huge folder full of receipts for the car.

Here's one for the body and paint.

Here is a photo of the car "before" the restoration.
It had been hit from behind and the car was purchased from the insurance company after the accident.
As a result of this, the car has a "Salvage" note on the title.
Check your local laws and with your insurance company...it's normally not an issue with any of them
but it wouldnt hurt to check. Here in California it makes no difference except for when the car is first registered
after the repairs as it has to go through a brake and lamp inspection before tags are issued ( no biggie )

Obviously the car is as far from a wreck as you could ever imagine.
It doesnt show any signs of the damage or any serious repairs...my guess is that the insurance company
figured it would be cheaper to write it off than to fix it...so that is what they did.

In the end we have a nice clean, happy little Beetle. A greet weekend toy or occasional driver.
Great color combo, some nice accessories, a nice modern stereo and it looks like it has had a lot of love.
It is priced very reasonably, and I think it will probably sell quick!
