1967 Karmann Ghia Coupe For Sale

The car has had nearly $14,000 in work dont to it in the past two years!
Its a clean machine and has a nice air of originality to it as well.

Nice paint and a smooth body. Very simple and subtle in the tan color.

Very nice and smooth down the suides and good panel fit.

Karmann Ghia body badge.

Nice smooth and straight nose and bright chrome.

Original Hella logo headlight rings.

Nose emblem

Looks good.

Excellent tires all the way around on stock wheels with the original caps
and trim rings.

One little stress crack in the paint finish on this forward edge of the
drivers side fender well.
This is really the only noticeable body issue... and I had to look darn
close to see it...the car is clean.

Very solid in the fender wells, so signs of the demon rust.

Nice reflection down the sides, body trim in nice shape as well.

Black California plates are a nice thing to see and help solidify the California
car since nw statement.
Chrome is nice, original reverse lights are present on the bumper.

Karmann Ghia script in great condition.

The 1600cc dual port engine runs great and has just 2000 miles on it since
it was built.
The trans, and suspension were all rebuilt at the same time...so this one
is very mechanically sound.

Bosch 12 volt alternator, brand new carburator, etc...all very clean.

Detail of the new carb.

Recent battery as well.

Clean in the engine room.

Bottomside of engine is also quite clean.
All new exhaust system and everything, shocks too...this guy poured some
serious funds into getting it
road ready for another 37 years...but alas...the time had come to sell
it...so here it is.

Very solid floor pans and rockers.

Factory undercoating still holding up well.

Nice car eh?
Lets look under the front hood shall we?

Funny Golfing Hazards mat ...interesting. But everything quite clean in
here.

Clean latches and nice under the hood.

Wiring is all sound.

Hood latch has been neatly painted by hand...obviously the car has received
lots of tender loving care over it's ownership.

Original owners manual pouch. Sold new at Renfree in Orange...just about
5 miles from where the car resides today.

Even the salesman's business card is still in there.

Owners manual has a little water damage but is still present.

Maintenance record book as well remains with the car.

Nice thick stack of receipts, original small California title from 1971
still with the car as well.

Original tool roll

Backside of the nose shows some minor repair from a bit of a fender bender.
Looks like it was well worked out.
And from the outside of course it looks great.

Original jack.

Outside shot of the nose.

The interior of the car is very clean and proper.

Steering wheel and horn ring in very nice shape.

Original instrumentation.

Modern style AM/FM Casette radio.

Glovebox is clean.

Nice and tidy in the hinge areas too.

Door panels appear to be the originals and are in nice shape.

Carpets and mats show very minimal wear

Headliner is very clean.

Nice!

Rear deck also quite clean and tidy.

Seats have been redone in a very tasteful grey tweed with black vinyl.

Carpet in the storage area is in mighty fine shape.

Under the rear seat is superb and untouched.

Speakers in the rear panels.

Drivers side door panel also in fine shape

View of the dash from the drivers side.

Seats in nice shape, clean seat belts as well.

Drivers side seat.

Ashtray and accessory power outlet.

Speakers mounted in the front panels.

Another dash shot.

So...that pretty much wraps it up.
It is a very clean, mostly original car that has a well known history and
recently redone mechanicals from stem to stern.
Its a 67 model which is well known as one of the "best" years
of VW and therefore is one of the ones to watch for.
It is getting harder and harder to find nice unmolested cars that have
not been rusted or wrecked and poorly repaired.
I like this one...it's not a flawless show car but it has a great attitude
to it and looks to me like it will be a car one can
truly get attached to. It hasnt traded hands a lot...and that is a very
cool thing.
