1969 Wild Chop Top Custom Beetle For Sale

The quality of the work looks great, this wasnt some hack job, this guy
obviously knows how to build and cut and shape
and the results are pretty wild. The top was chopped 4" to start with
and then the rian gutters smoothed out.
The fenders were welded to the front and the seams filled, same with the
running boards.

Front headlights were molded in, custom fog lights frenched into the hood,
turn signals frenched in as well.

2" wider fiberglass rear fenders were fitted and bonded to the body
structure and seams filled,
rear engine vents were shaved and custom scoops made on the rear quarter
panels.
Rear apron was smoothed out and a center exhaust notch flared up a bit.
Taillights and license plate were frenched in as well.

The side scoops were made of steel and are beautifuly sculpted in.

39 Ford Teardrop taillights frenched in to the fat rear fenders

License plate was frenched in to the decklid.

Top bolts have tiny LED plate lights in them

Widened rear wheels tuck nicely under the fenders.
Nice molding work on the junction between the body, fender and running
board.

Front fenders masterfully blended in as well.

Aluminum fuel filler on the front quarter panel.

Fog lights frenched in neatly to the front hood.
T'bar bumpers.

Very slick frenching and blending of the headlights.

Mirrors are from a Suzuki motorcycle!
1 pc windows, sice body blendng over the doors and drip rail.

What I like about the way this was done, is that it still allows for a
slight ledge over the top of the door to keep the rain out of the gap.
I have seen others done where it is totally smooth and it always seems
a bit odd that way.

Here's a nother shot showing this blend.

All the windows are made of glass. The wipers are included by the way...just
werent on the car during our photo shoot.

Out back is a nicely built 1776cc engine, fully show detailed.

Here's the access for the frenched in plate by the way...

The engine and trans have less than 200 miles since the rebuild.

Nice "baby" dual carbs on polished manifolds

12 volt alternator and everything under the hood here is super clean and
polished.

Neat little touch on the fan shroud.

Quite pretty...and it runs great too.

Thunderbird exhaust system was ceramic coated.

Well detailed underneath as well

Performance transaxle by Rancho is freshly done as well.

Chromed spring plates.

Floor pans are excellent and everything is well undercoated to keep it
that way.

Front suspension was all done as well.
Adjustable front beam, 2.5" dropped spindles, new shocks and all the
trimmings.

Disc brakes on the front.
Excellent tires all the way around.

While Im under here...chek out the access for the frenched in headlights...these
buckets
are held in place by spring tension...really slick.

From the outside it looks oh so smooth!

Front trunk is clean and tidy.

Spare tire well area.
Note the custom aluminum access plates

Clean.

Nicely trimmed out.

Billet aluminum hood hinges with struts are a very smooth addition.

Here's the backside of those driving lights in the hood.

Pretty wild dont you think?

The inside continues with the wild stuff with some of the crazyest sets
I have seen in some time.
These seats are adjustable in every way possible and look quite futuristic
in silver.

There is adjustable lumbar support, the "wings" at the top are
adjustable in and out
they recine, they flip forward, the leading edge pad is adjustable as well.
The builder did know where they originally came from...he got them out
of a 36 Ford that he did a top chop to for
surfing legend Dale Velzey years ago...

Nice and clean and well fitted in the back...no back seat, just open space

Behind this panel are hidden speakers for the audio system.

Custom steel hinged panle flips up to reveal the battery and the amplifier
for the audio system

Carpets are quite plush and pretty.

Custom steering wheel looks nice

neat "floating" Moon eyes emblem in the center.

Billet aluminum dash panels are filled with awesome Autometer vintage looking
instruments.

Modern CD player head unit in the dash.

Polished T handle shifter.

Hood release cable is operated by a polished bicycle handbrake lever...very
creative!

This is my favorite shot of the car...just a crazy looking ride isnt it?
Doors are solenoid opened with a remote by the way...

An absolutely mind blowing number of hours went into the creation of this
car.
Its hard to fathom just how much work it was to do it. The builder spent
a good bit of money on the job as well
and everything is very freshly done. It is priced to sell
and I feel it is am amazing bargain at the asking price...you sure couldnt
build one for half what he's asking.
Again, the car is located in New York
$11,500 obo
