Here are some photos of the original owner with the car when it was purchased
from here a number of years ago.
Here's a photo of her husband with the car in 1972.
And another photo of them with the car at some point in its history.
Original owners manuals, service booklets and such.
Original Indiana registration paperwork.
The original owners manual pouch.
Some fun literature.
The car was featured in VW Trends Magazine at one point...this is a copy
of the article.
More photos from the magazine.
An assortment of photos of the car from VW events during it's lifetime.
Here's a pic of it at one even all lifted up to show the immaculate undercarriage.
This is really a fantastic car...Im still a little stunned after viewing
it up close and personal.
So here it is now in the bright California sun.
It could use a fresh coat of wax as it has been in storage for a little
while but it truly is in
shockingly amazing all original condition. Ive never seen anything like
it before.
No accidents of course, no rust, no aftermarket parts, nothing but virgin
German
materials from top to bottom, just as it rolled off the assembly line.
No door dings, all just superb.
One little ding in the bumper guard...thats about it.
Gorgeous smooth original finish everywhere you look.
All of the tires on the car are originals too!
Simply incredible.
They are starting to crack a little on the sidewalls but they still have
lots of tread!
Original wheel weights too of course...
Interior is just as nice as the exterior...just stunning.
No break down to the seat pads, everything is just like new.
Odometer reads just 6,557 miles and this is documented original mileage.
Its all just perfect.
Cool shift pattern sticker on the dash.
Optional cigarette lighter.
Coco mats are in place to keep the original flooring safe from wear.
No cracks or damage to the steering wheel.
Rear seat is superb.
Headliner is excellent.
Even clean and sound by the rear window.
This car hasnt seen much sun.
Super clean original seat belts.
No key scratches or wear near the ignition switch.
Under the rear seat is also all clean and factory.
Inspection marks remain on the inner panels.
Battery in the proper holder.
Some age damage to the floor mat over the tunnel...this stuff gets a little
brittle over time.
Door jams are so clean and all the hardware looks like new.
Super clean.
Engine is also all original of course.
It runs very well.
German stuff everywhee you look...this car is a priceless resource for
restorers...if you are restoring a car and want to see
just how the factory did everything...just take a long close look at this
one.
Clean underneath as well.
Look at how gorgeous the paint is under the fenders...WOW!
Just plain insanity.
This is all original finish here too...that what is so amazing.
Are you impressed yet?
Original spare doesnt look like it's ever been on the car.
Which makes sense since all four tires are the originals.
Awesome...simply awesome.
Wow this thing is clean!!!
One slight tragedy...the brake fluid resevoir has leaked and the paint
in here has wrinkled up.
The rest of the trunk area is spotless.
Jack still in place of course.
You can just make out the original paint code sticker under the washer
bottle.
SeeSand Beige is the color.
Original tool roll and spare fan belt.
The car kinda leaves one speechless...it is just so damn nice.
Ive not seen one so well preserved and I have never seen one with this
low of mileage.
A quick coat of wax and brush a little dust off of it and you are looking
at trophies every time out.|
Its a car that will shock all who see it...it sure shocked me and I look
at super clean VWs all the time.
This is an amazing opprtunity to aquire an all original extremely low mileage
60's VW.
I cant imagine ever seeing another one like this.
