Early morning, we were one of the first to arrive.
Ken in the hat, Larry with his back to the camera and our host for the day John in black.

Here I am with my recently purchased /5 project...already greasy to the elbows

Ok...hold wrench and smile for the camera.

Tranny swap is the project at hand...the old one had some loose parts inside
the "new" one was a $50 ebay buy.

Boy having a lift sure makes things easier...gotta get one of them!

Started raining pretty good during the later part of the morning.
These adventure bike riders sure didnt seem to mind.

Starting to increase in population...
Time for a quick run to Irv Seaver BMW for some needed parts...and the rain kept coming.

Back from the parts run the population had exploded while we were away and the rain started to subside a little.
Here is one of the beauties that pulled in

Lunch was served under the red tent while everyone milled about.

Here I am with the finished project...ready for that test ride!

Next on the lift was Robert's /5 for a tranny removal, rear main seal job.

Tranny out...the flywheel next to come...and boy was it stuck in there.

And here's the reason why...the spacer here was galled up really bad.
Unfortunately not something that could be dealt with the day of the event....so as the day closed it
remained on the lift to be tended to later in the week.

A moment of silence for the dead soldier.
(not to worry though...it will be brought back to life!)

All in all a great day, great people, nasty weather, greasy fingernails and a little beer and bratwurst mixed in for good measure.

The Airheads are very cool.
