1965 13 Window Deluxe Microbus

Its a clean machine, but not restored to "concours level". Its
a driver and it's ready for fun.
The paint and bodywork looks to be pretty good with only minimal flaws.
(keep in mind that we have NOT seen this Bus personally...photos were provided
by the owner).
The thin whitewalls look great on the stock 14' wheels and the Deluxe trim
looks nice with only the bumper trims missing.
Safari windows are of course a perfect addition.

Large logo hubcaps are not "correct" but add some interest to
the wheels.
Mudflaps out back are another nice accessory.

Jailbars are in place in the rear window and the 1500 emblem is also present.
Clean title in the owner's name.

Looks like the reflections down the side are good!

Chrome VW logo on the nose.

Headlights look like new reproductions, chrome is nice and bright.
Looks like a little crack on the trun signal lens here.

Nice polished wiper arms!

Here's a touched up chip in the paint by the cargo door hinge.

Interior is done in "non-original" materials but it looks quite
clean and happy.

Center seat looks like a later model version, but it's well done and the
seats look nice.

Door panels look like a tweed and vinyl combo...looks decent, but not factory.

Headliner looks proper and well fitted.

Rear cargo area is clean and carpeted. Jailbars are present on the
side windows as well.
No rear luggage rail.

Hatch open you can see some wrinkling on the interior panel...like mentioned
before..
not a concours level resto...but gretfor throwing the boards and kids in
it and hitting the beach!

Front panels

New seat belts...all new window rubbers and weatherstripping at the time
of the resto.

Looks like the bulkhead was cut out at one time and was welded back in
place.
Not real noticeable when the seat is in place but it inspires some confidence
in the seller
in that he would send a photo of the repair (I HATE when people hide this
sorta stuff!)

Floor shot shows some overspray on the high bean switch but reportedly
it has a new wiring harness in it
which is a nice bonus. Everything works but the clock in the dash.
Nice new rubber mat.

Floors look clean

Steering wheel looks like it may have been restored at home as the little
ridges are sanded smooth...but it looks clean
as does the dash which appears to be free of any modifications.

Nice lighting in this shot...cool photo.
Not sure if the "dancin girl" is included in the sale but she
sure looks perfect in there!

A shot in through the window.
All the glass except for the Safari windows is original by the way.

The engine was rebuilt about two years ago...stock 1600cc single port.
!2 volt electrics with an alternator...reportedly runs well with no issues.

Optima gel cell battery.

Here's some underside shots...looks like a couple little blisters in the
rocker panels
but otherwise it look like a pretty solid Bus.

Nice to see a shot on a lift...

Looks like that front inner panel has had a little work done to it, but
nothing major.
Master cylinder looks new and reportedly the whole brake system was done...stopping
is important when
you are sitting so close to the front of the vehicle!

So there you have it!
A nice looking Bus, for a very nice price.
I think this one will sell quickly!
