1977 Super Beetle Convertible

This cherry red beauty comes to you from the beautiful state of Tennessee.
Its a car that is reported by it's owner to have 43,400 original miles on it, but there is no documentation
to verify that...so it is possible it is more.
The car runs and drives excellent and has a very clean appearance.

The paint appears to be pretty fresh as does the top and interior.
Well done from what I can see and it would certainly be a fun weekend toy.
(not to mention looking ever so sweet under the Christmas tree!)

The car has its stock steel "Sport" wheels with good rubber all the way around.

Chrome looks nice and bright, the headlight eyebrows give it some character.

The original Karmann body badge is present.

Nice accessory aluminum vent trims ad a little flash.
Quad tip exhaust system looks and sounds sporty as well.
The rubber bumper trims and proper end caps are present on the bumpers.

Open wide!

1600cc dual port motor has been converted from Fuel Injection to a standard carburator.
Much easier and cheaper to service this way.
Check your local emissions laws though, as I know in California this would not
pass the visual check. I think California is the toughest out there though
but please look into it before you make the buy. Obviously it is A-OK in Tennessee.

The interior is all very clean and proper.

Aftermarket "Formuling" steering wheel is a little smaller and sportier looking than the
factory unit. Note the center console around the shifter and the woodgrain dash.

Dash pad looks very nice, modern audion unit in the dash.

Carpet is nice in grey.

Area behind the back seat is carpeted to match and the headliner is also very clean.

Top opens and closes well...perfect car for those fun sunny days.
The one thing that is really nice about a Beetle convertible is that the tops are so thick.
When the top is up it really feels comfy in there...no drafty flappy thin top,
lots of padding and insulation inside that helps keep the heat in and the sun out.
Note the aluminum trims under the door handles...also a nice accessory.

Open wide and say "ahhh"..

Trunk has the original jack and a matching top boot as well as a nice clean carpet kit and a fire extinguisher.

Underside of the hood has color as well and looks quite straight.

Good looking car.

Ditto for the tail side.

The biggest concern with a car from Tennessee would be the underside of the machine.
This car appears to be very solid with just the ever so slight hint of surface rust on the raw edges.
A good scrub and clean and a fresh undercoat would be a good idea to keep the car nice under here.
The owner is planning on shooting some more photos of the support rails and other underside bits so you
know exactly what you are getting in to...fortunately it looks like Mother Nature has been kind to this one.

In closing this appears to be a nice clean and solid example that has recently received a nice cosmetic restoration.
The owner states that it runs and drives very well with no shakes or shimmies and it is ready for it's new home.
The car is located in Limestone Tennessee and can be seen by appointment only.
As with any out of state listing with us, we highly reccommend checking the car out in person of possible before making a purchase.
The owner comes across very honest and straightforward and the photos speak for themselves...it looks lke a decent car to me.
