1963 Beetle Deluxe Sunroof Sedan For Sale

Now with a recent sale of his business he is doing a bit of relaxing and
to keep his spare time full he decided to
jump into the full restoration of this car, and now that the final bolt
is turned...he is ready for the next project.

The color is called Beryl Green and I personally think it is one of the
prettiest colors VW
ever came up with in the 60's. The color combo with the green interior
is just yummy (yes...I said yummy)
It draws quite the crowd wherever it goes.... anyway on to the details.
The bumpers are original German ones that have been rechromed, all the
body panels fit very nicely
very strong attention to detail.

Amber topped taillight lenses.

Brand new wide whitewall tires on the stock wheels painted two tone.

Owner is a member of the Der Kleiner Kampfwagens...one of the legendary
So Cal VW Clubs

Tires still have the nipples on them...barely driven.

Super smooth body and paint.

All glass is excellent, all new window rubber and trim.

Very cool two tone turn signal lenses (I think these were standard for
cars delivered to Italy)

Wood slat roof rack and the big sunroof complete with fresh tan canvas
sunroof cover.

Super clean interior and spotless stock dashboard.

All new carpet set

Door panels are new...window scrapers and other weatherstripping as well.

Interior is super fresh and pretty, seat frames were nicely painted, new
seat belts are in place.

Rear seat is fresh as well...heck everything is new on this one almost...nice
car.

Headliner is well installed.

Sunroof opens and closes properly and is well fit.
Note the proper chrome trimmed dome light is in place.

New visors.

Odometer was reset at the time of the restoration...car had only 8 miles
on it at the time of the photos!!
Talk about fresh!!

Steering wheel is very nicely restored.

Euro model steering lock has been stripped and polished. All new wiring
in the car as well by the way.

Nice aluminum door sill plates and very clean door jams.

Latches are all cleaned properly...not covered in overspray like so many
"restorations"

New hardware on the door hinges.

Very clean and well sorted out.

Matching spare wheel and tire under the hood.

Bottom side of hood is nicely painted as well...

Nice and straight.

Proper original front apron.

Original jack is in place,

Even the air pressure decal for the water tank was preserved and re-used.

Very cleanly done, even in the spots like this that most folks will never
see.

Hood latch is clean.
More new hardware.

Lets look underneath now and see just how nuts this guy really is...

Very clean. Not overdone like some Ive seen(with glassy smooth paint),
just well cleaned and finished.

All new hardware holding the body to the chassis,

Looking dreamy...

Underside of the engine is very clean as well.

Engine is a freshly rebuilt 1600cc single port and it runs like a top.
Transmission and brakes were all rebuilt at the time of the restoration
as well...this is as close to a new one as
you can find these days. Electrics have been converted to 12 volts for
brighter lights and better reliability.

Under the decklid is clean as well (of course...)

Fender wells are all painted in body color, and all new hardware hold the
fenders in place.

Excellent.

Not often you see them this clean.

In closing, this is a great car.
Every nut and bolt has been turned, mechanicals are all fresh, paint, interior
and all the trimmings are very nice indeed.
Considering the costs of a quality restoration like this these days...this
is a screaming deal for the money.
And the color combination is so pretty.
