1966 Westfalia Pop Top Camper

The paint color is the original Pearl White and the emblem and bumpers
have been painted a slightly darker shade for a little contrast and I must
say it gives
it a little more classy of a look than if they were the original "silverweis"
white.

Here's my favorite photo of the Bus...all opened up, picnic basket at the
ready
and some of God's great scenery to look at.
Campers are the best...a cozy little home on wheels...and fasionable wheels
they are.

Picture the kids sitting inside playing cards, a couple of comfy chairs
set up
outside, a cool drink and a good book...there is no better way to relax
than that!

The Bus really looks nice and showroom clean from all angles.
The owner is a seasoned restorer and he seems to really get into his projects
with
full gusto...no quick spray and go here... this one has a lot of love in
it.

Simple and clean...nothing flashy, just cool.
Now lets see what makes this one really stand out from the crowd...

Lets crawl underneath it to start...you saw the top...looks sweet, but
when is the last time
you saw a chassis this clean on a camper?

Fender wells have all been painted and are very clean
Tires are brand new on all four corners.

No signs of rust or icky stuff under here...no undercoating to hide anything
what you see here is solid clean metal.

Very tidy indeed.

Under the engine is also clean and tidy... it takes a lot of effort to
go this far.

New exhausts system, all new hardware, etc,

New shocks all the way around...

Front floors from the bottom side.

Wow

Do you see the Bus a bit differently now?

The interior of the Camper is all fresh as well.

Clean un-altered dash, radio block off plate in place, steering wheel looks
excellent.

Bus has been driven only test miles since completion...you are buying a
freshly done Bus here!

Roof panels are well fit...everything is nicely done with a good attention
to the details.

New seat upholstery, new seatbelts, seat stand mats, etc...looks totally
fresh.

Clean even in the spots people dont normally look.

Panelling in the camper parts is beautiful.
New pop top canvas, new grey trim around the opening...nice work.

Let in that fresh air!

Rearward facing seat looks great, ice box cabinet in very good shape.

Proper spice rack on the door.

Fold up table in very good original condition.
I like the curtains too.

Modern vinyl flooring looks great and will be very durable as you put this
into use.

Small tables are all in place, dry sink faucet it present as well.

Love it...like stepping back in time.

Rear area is also spotless.

Engine is a freshly rebuilt 1600cc dual port that runs like a top.
Brakes are all new, mechanically the Bus is done...needs nothing but upkeep.
Engine room looks super clean as well...nice.

here's an inside shot...you can see down the sides a bit in this photo...good
straight Bus.

So there you have it.
Dont buy some rickety slapped together camper and then pur your life savings
into it to make it nice.
Bite the bullet and buy one that is super clean and ready for action.
