This sweet 72 Ghia Coupe has been in the hands of it's 3rd owner since new...and he has
had it since the 1980s!! It has been a California car since new and in 2007 it received a complete
cosmetic re-do and it has been driven only about 1000 miles since.

Huge folder full of receipts of all the work done to it...the owner has truly emptied his wallet in the process.

The car has the nickname GilaGhia as it has a very wild color shifting paint job that has a lot of pearl in it.
When the lights hit this car it really comes alive.

The car is loaded with nice mild custom touches like these aluminum wheels.
The body has remained unchanged, but all the trimmings add up to a very nice package.

The car is well done...painted right in the deep corners, all new rubber seals and such.

The interior has some nice touches to it...the faux speaker grilles on the rear deck open up to something much larger beneath.

Nice Arc-Audio subwoofer and amplifier hidden back here.
Nice to see the quality carpet and fittment even under here.

Latches and all are clean...

The modern styled door panels are really pretty  and the mounting of the speakers is really sharp.

Very modern and clean...a nice look.

Dash has been very cleanly upholstered in grey as well...and it really looks sweet.
A modern touch on an old classic,

Carpets are well fitted...special floor mats in place to keep the carpet nice.

Seats are done with a nice custom touch as well...gone are the highback seats...

Nice!

Outside the car is pretty as well.
It is tastefully done, no wild modifications...but with the Ghia's timeless design
the "modern" theme to this one fits in very well.

Not lowered or messed about with...built to be a driver and weekend play toy.

The original bumpers and body trim are all in place.

The paint is hard to capture completely in an image...but the purple you are seeing around the emblem there is
a good hint as to what it does when the light hits it.
Nice straight nose too!

Painted nice even under the lid.

Original body tag

Trunk is trimmed very cleanly in a felty style material.

Original tool roll is still here.

A little spill stain down low on one side...

Chrome spare wheel with new tire is a bit of a tight fit into the nose...so it is parked here on top of the tank.

Bumpers are clean...I like seeing the original bumper guards with the rubber strips.

The paint quality is really nice on this car...very smooth finish.

Disc brakes up front...wheels look great, tires are very good.

A full set of lugs and studs are included if you wanted the chrome lug nuts in place.

The rocker panels are super solid and straight on this car.

The Karmann badge is slightly faded...but well fit as it should be.
The paint finish clarity is seen here in this photo pretty well...look at the reflection.

The chassis is awesome on this car...no rust and no repairs.

The engine has about 20,000 miles on it since it's last rebuild...so it is not spotless underneath.
The transmission was rebuilt about 600 miles ago.

Great body!

Engine is a stock 1600cc...good runner.

Stock air cleaner in place...

Battery area looks clean

Other than the tape on the intake boot...the engine looks proper.

Transmission as mentioned was rebuilt about 600 miles ago.
The car was originally an Auto Stick car, but now has a stock 4 speed manual trans.

Very solid underneath.

Not detailed by any means below...but she looks sound and solid!

Nice to see that the painters got down low to finish the paint under here too..

Nice panel fit and door gaps.

Some more interior shots...

A good paint detail shot with the pearl all a-glow!

Back to the interior...all very nicely finished.

Rear seat is done to match...

Top quality carpets.

Headliner is excellent

Eclipse head unit.

I really like the grey dash and color matched steering column and such...clean!

Owner has the center for the steering wheel...it was just not installed at the time of the photos.

In closing the car is very solid underneath and the quality of the work done to it is very nice.
The paint color and interior choises are unique and attractive and I am certain they will draw compliments wherever you go.
Car is located in Southern California and has a clean and clear title.
