1966 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale
This Southern California based 1966 Sedan is a nice
"driver quality" car that has had quite a bit of work done to it
and has a long time local history.
It has always been in the San Diego area since new
The owner has a copy of the original title to document it.
It shows some wear here and there, such as a couple cracks in the
steering wheel and the faded horn button.
There is a little bit of rust poking through on the door pillar here.
The chassis and battery area appear to be solid.
The interior is in good shape...but not show level stuff.
The engine is excellent and has been rebuilt and converted to 12 volt
electrics.
Wheels are the correct slotted 15" rims and done in the original paint
colors.
It has that great humble Beetle look to it.
Its a good car.
Body is overall very straight and the paint is clean.
Still the black California plates on it.
I do see some damage to the drivers side rear fender along the bottom.
Looks like maybe so road debris gave it a whack from inside the fender
well.
Looks quite fine from straight on in the back...the damage concealed by
the bumper.
Very stock and proper.
The windshield has a crack in it. but the owner is including a new one
along with the sale.
A few other trinkets come along with it as well.
Seats are in nice shape. Seats in white and door panels in black.
New glove box
Chassis looks solid from here...looks like recent axle boots too
Engine is very clean and very fresh!
Under the front hood is pretty basic with a simple carpet kit installed
to keep the groceries clean.
Matching spare wheel and tire.
Spare tire well is solid.
Tires have good tread.
Sun visor has some damge but the headliner appears intact.
Nice new seat belts in back
Seat upholstery is perhaps a bit loose, but it is in nice shape overall.
Door panels in nice shape.
Door sills look clean and solid.
Carpet is in nice shape.
Cool old school wood shift knob.
Dash is very clean and uncut.
Radio block off plate is installed in the center.
A few scrapes on the tip of the decklid...probably from contacting the
bumper.
Apron looks nice and straight.
Trim and mirror in good shape
Looks like the door has been scrubbing on the runningboard a bit.
Small paint chip
A few more chips.
Some stone chips on the nose from years of driving.
Chrome on the bumper is fading on spots.
In closing this is a good basic, honest Beetle.
It has survived the test of time quite well and being in a dry climate
has helped that for sure.
It shows a little age perhaps, but that is what makes it attractive.
It is a car that you can run and drive and enjoy straight off the bat
and it is priced reasonably so it wont break the bank.
