
1963 VW Beetle Sunroof Sedan For Sale



Super smooth down the sides and the panels all fit nicely.

In this photo you can see the paint finish a little more closely...it is
nice, but not "concours level"
The wheels and tires are in great shape with trim rings and painted center
hubcaps.

The slide back sunroof works well and seals up nice.
Vinyl cover as original for 63.

Chrome is clean and bright and the parts are all of high quality.

Blackwall radial tires with good tread

Not cheesy aftermarket bumpers...these are the good ones!!

Glass is excellent as is the trim and rubber seals.

There is something about a black Beetle that really captures the simplicity
and character of the car.
Perhaps that is why VW is using one in their current ad campaigns!

All body seals were replaced and are in nice shape.

Chrome antenna, original side mirror.

Very smooth and straight down the sides

Interior is very nice and the "tomato soup" red is perfect against
the black paintwork.

Two tone door panels are in excellent condition.

Seats look very nice.

Carpet and floor mats in nice shape as well.

Steering wheel and dash are in excellent shape.

Odometer reads 81,000 miles...actual mileage on the car is not known, but
a full set of service records comes with
it so I think you could probably figure it out by sleauthing through the
paperwork.

Original Bendix radio in the dash...optional cigar lighter as well.

Visors are new and in nice shape

hreadliner is in good condition as well.

Rear seat is excellent as well.

Factory slide back sunroof is perfect for letting in the sun.

Nice!

Black California Plates with clean and current title and registration.

The engine compartment is pretty nice and clean and the engine runs very
smooth.
Converted to 12 volt electrics, otherwise quite stock and proper.

Rear apron is clean and smooth...no signs of damage or repair.

New alternator, new carb, etc etc... turn key driver here, and it has been
very reliable for it's owner.
He openly admits that he prefers driving it over his modern BMW Z4 !

A little normal road grunge underneath.

Floorpans are very solid...the whole car is really a dry example.

All original stuff under here.

Super dry in the fender wells also.

Under the front hood is very original and untouched.

Two tone wheel and spare tire, front apron is excellent.

Spare tire well is a little dusty, but quite straight.

Original paint code sticker remnants remain...this is an original black
car.

Washer bottle in nice original shape...even the pressure sticker remains.

Original jack is in it's holder.

The car spent a short time in Kansas where first sold, and then came across
the country to California.

A factory rebuilt engine was installed in 1971 in California.

In closing this is a neat car.
It is clean and solid, runs excellent and has a nice clean history and
documentation.
