1971 VW Super Beetle For Sale

This is a nice original, unrestored Super Beetle that is here in Southern California.
Its very original, sports the original paint and interior, and a freshly rebuilt engine.
It shows very minimal wear for it's age and has obviously had a pretty pampered life.

The only paintwork that the car has had is one front fender and one rear fender that
have been re-sprayed at some point in the past.

Body looks nice and straight and the car is a very solid example as you would
expect from a West Coast car.

Standard steel wheels with hubcaps...nice to see the taillights with the proper
reflectors on the side and the stock window rubbers with the aluminum trims.

Both front and rear bumpers have the original rub strips and bumper guards.

Everything seems to fit well...good gaps and bodylines

The 71 Super Beetle was the first of it's kind. Still with te flat windshield
but with a re-shaped front end and lower valance to go along with the new
MacPherson strut front suspension.

Here's a good shot of the front bumper with the trims and guards in place

Looks like some minor pitting in the chrome on the bumper...but still shiny.

Glass is all good, rubber looks decent, antenna and mirror look nice as well.

Windshield is clean and clear

Under the front hood looks very clean and totally original.
The hardboard trunk liner is in really nice shape!

Paint under the hood of course looks good...nice and clean around the hinges as well.

Really tidy in the spare tire well!! Wow!

Original jack and handle

The car looks good and it runs good too...mechanical work has been done recently including an engine rebuild.

Engine compartment looks very clean and it is really nice to see that all the
proper stock equipment is present on the engine. The right distribuotr, all the hoses in the right spot...nice.

Pretty clean and dry.

Nice and clean under the motor as well!
I spy the original thermostat coil dealie up in there which seems to be a rarity in the warm
California climate...these are often removed.

Very dry...not a leaker.

Floorpans are totally solid and still have the original undercoat.

Awesome!

Suspension looks clean and proper...no big ugly grease balls caked up on stuff.

Looking good.

Lets peek inside now and see the soft bits... nice original door panel and clean door jams.

Carpet has been replaced with a nicely trimmed kit. Dash looks totally stock and un-altered.
Original radio in the dash and all quite clean

Seats are original and in pretty nice shape...I see a little "sunburn"
on the edges of the seat back, but otherwise quite nice.

Carpet kit included the rear luggage area up to the window...looks nice.

Another angle.

Headliner looks very clean

Rear seat with the factory seat belts in place...some very minor discoloration, but still pretty sweet for original material

Very clean under the seat as well...the reddish stuff there is dust from the original
horse-hair seat padding...not rust.

Battery out you can see a little surface rust...the metal still looks decent, but a cleaning and treating of this area
would help keep it that way.

Glove box is in good shape inside.

Odometer reads 6218 miles...it is believed that the original miles are 106.218 miles.

Original owners manual included.

A shot in from the passenger side...again a little sunburn on the seat back edge.
I spy a couple of small cracks in the dash pad too.

A little expected wear to the pedal pads.

Door panels are very clean and the door jams look great.

In closing this looks like a very well preserved, very straight and very solid example.
Nice level of originality, fresh mechanicals...nice clean interior and ready to go.
(note: this is not a car we have inspected personally...but the photos show it well and it's obviously a nice little ride)
