1963 VW Convertible For Sale

This is a stunning restored 63 Cabriolet from here in Southern California.
Built with a bit of the "resto-Cal" look, it retains amostly stock apperance
but with a lowered suspension, custom wheels and a performance drivetrain.

The look and stance of this car are just awesome and the quality of the work is very very nice.

The wide wheels in back give it some muscle...the European style bumpers keep it clean
and the color combo of the paint and interior are classy and eye-catching.

Very mild changes over stock...such as the shaved hood emblem and front turn signals.

Narrowed front beam tucks the wheels in nice and deep and allows for the front end to be nice and low.
The Euro bumpers and headlights look great.

Fluted headlight lenses and bright chrome... front turn signals are wired through the parking light bulb.

Very sweet Hamburg germany hood crest is a unique touch.

Glass is all excellent, runner seals all new along with the trim.

These are original Empi "Sprint Star" wheels that have been wonderfully restored and feature the proper center caps.

Wide wheels in the back look sooooo cooool !!
Tires are excellent by the way on all four corners

Very smooth and clean with the Euro bumpers and matching amber topped taillight lenses.
Great personalized plate too!

These are the Hella units too...not the cheap aftermarket lenses that fade in a month!

Accessory light under the plate light is another neat little deal.

Backside of the bumpers are detail painted with polished hardware.

Drool drool drool....
Look down the sides here too...this car is smooth!!

Look at the reflection...very nice quality paint and body.

Crap! Houston...we have a problem!
Looks like we bottomed out on a curbstone here...chipped the paint up pretty good on the inside...
lets look outside and see what we have going on.

Yup...thats a little dent...its been touched up so it is not wildly noticeable
and being down low it would be a simple thing to have this repaired and spot painted in.

Narrowed adjustable front beam with shocks.

Floorpans are superbly clean

Very nice and clean... check out the trans brace an the cleanliness of the hardware and details.

This was a body-off restoration here, and it shows.

Underside of the engine is very clean...spotless (almost).
Check out the deep oil sump, the stainless braided oil lines and you can see the performance trans mounts as well.

The engine compartment is super clean...understated and very well detailed.

Show quality all the way.
Engine details and specs to come shortly...the car was built mild, not wild...built to last!

Check out the detail!!!
Very impressive, and it runs as good as it looks!

Weber carbs, detailed hex bar linkage

Claudes Buggies breather box, fully show detailed and mounted with polished stainless hardware.

There is some paint blistering on the rear apron from when the engine was first installed and
this should probably be repainted to be at show level again.
Its barely noticeable with the decklid closed.

Love that ride stance...classic and purpose driven.

The interior of the car is also exceptional...perfect dash, jewel like GT wood rim steering wheel.

Gene Berg shifter, detailed aluminum cruiser pedal, all well fitted and super clean carpets and mats.

The Berg Shifter...an iconic addition to any true Cal Looker!

Nice!
