This Oregon based 1967 VW Bus is a solid driver.
The current owner bought it from a local pastor in around 1994
and has driven it around quite a bit over the years.

Its a decent Bus overall, not a show car but not priced like one either.
It is a standard Microbus model or an "11 Window" for those that like
counting that sort of thing.

The important thing about the Bus is that it really appears to be a
pretty solid example.
Being a west coast vehicle has faired pretty well...escaping the
majority of rust issues that plague these
vehicles in other parrts of the world.

Bottom of the engine looks decent...no big oil drips or thick
greasy layers of muck.

There is a little surface rust on the front floors but if you have been
around these vehicles much, you can see this is
really minimal compared to most.

From below its still looking quite solid.

The 1600cc dual port engine was built by a local mechanic
(that has experience out the wazoo with these engines...even raced
Porsches for a while!)
It is a strong runner with a lot of life left.

The interior is classic surf bus hippie style that is all about
function.
As you can see, it has a long bed platform for camping and napping and
a good level spot for sliding
in the surfboards or watercraft.

The exterior is in overall pretty good shape...the paint on it was done
a while back after a light bump
It is an average quality job, not a show job, but it is clean enough
that it looks cared for.

The dark painted bumpers give it a little more serious look than we
normally see, but I think
spraying these white would make a massive difference in the overall
appearance.

Nice racks on top for your Kayak or other big cargo.

A couple of dings in the rear bumper but as you sight down the sides it
looks pretty straight body wise.

The dash is all original and it shows its age.
The headliner is original material that has stained with age.
There are some "rust drips" down the dash from leaky windshield seals.
Looks like the dash has been modified a little to allow the modern
shape radio but no other changes.
Kick panel on the drivers side is missing which exposes the wiring.
The front seats are worn and have a variety of covers on them to keep
em comfy.
It is the very desirable "walk through" front seat model which is a
nice bonus.

Another shot of the engine room.

Looking at this photo here it appears the original color was velvet
green...but perhaps that is just the apron.
A couple of the underside shots show hints of Sea Blue...which is
probably a better indicator.

Here is another inside shot...and the "How to Keep Your Volkswagen
Alive" manual
and the baseball bat just beyond it seem to fit the surroundings so
perfectly.

The comfy chair... this is the genuine article here...all function, no
fashion!!

The headliner being original is in pretty decent shape without any big
nasty holes.
Here in this photo you can see the original Sea Blue color on the
decklid.

The original seats for the back are gone by the way...what you see here
is all it has
and that gives you a blank canvas to work with...install camper bits,
or passenger seats, or just leave it as it is.

Dash shot
In closing this looks like a good Bus. Buy it and drive the heck out of
it just as it is, or restore it to your liking
Its a functional, driveable vehicle, not some barn find project that
will take you a lot of time and money to get roadworthy.
Give it your touch here and there and it will be pretty presentable
without breaking the bank.
