1965 VW 21 Window Microbus For Sale

This 65 21 window is a looker!
It is located in Florida currently but was brought into the state from California in 2004
It has always been garaged and not driven in bad weather and it has been a fun vehicle for it's owner.

It has a few chips and scratches, it has been driven and enjoyed as it should be.
Still respectable looking, but probably not a show winner as it sits.

Great color combination, excellent stance.

Interior is very nice in white with red accents.

Walk through front seats are a very desirable attribute.

Door jams look solid.

Safari windows installed.

Deluxe clock.

Original radio and a modern one installed below.

Floors look very solid, but obvious that they have been welded.

Nice carpet fittment up front.

There is an additional gauge in the dash, otherwise it is all original and proper.

Great wheel choice, nice tires.
Front end is a 4" narrowed beam by George Schmidt with dropped spindles.

Chrome is clean.

Very very straight and smooth bodywork down the sides.

Window seals are all holding up fine.

Check out that reflection...NICE!

Quite the looker!

There are a few small issues with it such as the latches for the Safri windows which three of which are broken.
There are a couple of the pop out latches which are broken as well, there are some chips in the paint in spots,
on the roof where the sunroof slides there is a spot where the paint has scratched through from use...that sort of thing.

Here is one of the paint flaws...a small crack off the hatch opening and some rust discoloration from just under the gutter.

Common spot for a bit of surface rust to start...it is a bit of a seam in here.

Some minor chips on the doors.

A shot of the same from a little farther away.

Battery area looks solid.

Not bad...not show car stuff, but still pretty clean.

1776cc engine  with dual Weber 40's, Scat 69mm crank, Scat C95 cam, A 1 stainless exhaust system.
Great runner, has only about 2500 miles on it.
Trans is a 3:88 geared Pro Street box with long axles and Type 3 rear brakes.

Rocker panels look very solid.

Belly pans look good.

Front suspension.

Rocker trim could use the little rubber filler bits...but that is readily available.

Solid!

A few marks from use here and there , but still looking decent!

Walk through!!

Pile in the family and friends...room for everybody!

In closing this looks to be a very nice Bus.
It is an older restoration, not fresh and perfect, but that can be a positive thing if you are really
looking for something you can drive and enjoy. If you have one that it too nice
you will spend your days yelling at the kids to keep their feet off the seats and freaking out if you get
a bit of sand stuck in the carpet...with this one you can just hop in and enjoy it.
It is clean enough to get great reactions out on the road and it seems pretty well sorted out.
A few small things to tinker with but that will give you an excuse to spend a little "garage time" with it
and make it feel like a part of the family.

Price very realistically at
$35,000 obo
