1977 "Triple White" Beetle Convertible For Sale

This is a very clean, well maintained 77 Super Beetle Convertible in the very desireable
"Triple White" color combination.
The car has roughly 76,000 original miles according to the owner and
the engine a brand new factory Mexican engine installed just 1,000 miles ago.
It is a very smooth runner and driver
that is ready for a new loving home.

This car is a long distance listing with us, it is located in Coldwater Michigan, where it has always been garaged
and has never seen snow. The convertible top was replaced last year and is in excellent condition.
The original sport wheels are on the car and are wrapped with new tires.
The front end and steering has been gone through and many new parts installed.
Always serviced by a well known local shop called The German Village in Archibald Ohio where
those that know the cars best lay hands upon them and keep them the way they need to be.

The car presents itself very well and my conversations with the owner lead me to believe that it is a super solid
example that has been properly stored and maintained during it's life, not a rough and rusty one that has been patched together.
As you look at the photos you will see the sort of things that make it pretty obvious that it is a nice one.

Yes...it's owned by a lady named Kim...easy to figure that one out.
She has owned it for several years and has overseen the restoration and preservation of the car personally.

Here's a great tell-tale shot for you...very very nice and clean under the hood of the car.
All the wiring looks proper and clean, the matching spare wheel sits in place.
Looks like it has an electric pump for the windshield washer fluid which is a nice addition.
I see no signs of any body damage or repair up here.

Underside of the hood has smooth paintwork and is clean.

Most importantly the floor pans appear very solid as do the support rails.

Another shot from underneath.

Top boot comes with the car for those top down drives.

The dashborad looks to have a couple of small cracks in the original pad, the woodgrain finish on the dash panels is nice.
Original steering wheel is protected by a cover.

Front seats were replaced with very comfortable Scat Pro-Car seats and the interior was redone to match the car including the
installation of a center console. This was done several years ago, the drivers side seat shows some wear
as you can see in this photo. The owner kept the original front seats so the new owner could go back to original
if he or she desired. Modern stereo system has been installed, but nothing has been cut up to do it.
The carpet in the car looks to be the original material and in pretty nice shape.

Another shot of the Pro-car seats.
The one cool thing about these seats is that they were designed for use in VW's,
so they dont require and wild modifications to fit or anything...easy to swap back too.

6X9 speaker boxes are set in the back with cords long enough to allow them to be moved forward to sit on the seat, or can easily
be stashed back behind the seat when you are hauling people around.

Pic of the rear floor and the nice carpets.

Door panels match the interior.
Looks pretty clean around the door latches and such.
Look inward at the corner of the door jam too...looks clean.

Here's another good detail shot showing the cleanliness of the door latches and such.

The engine is a new factory VW engine from mexico, installed just about 1000 miles ago. The owner has receipts for all the work done.
The car was converted to a carburator from the original fuel injection. The conversion was done with all the
proper VW bits it appears and reliability and ease of maintenance this is a great move.
This conversion may cause difficulty in some states where smog equipment laws are strict (such as California)
so make a phone call or two before you send the truck for it just to make sure.

Everything looks pretty prim and proper, with all the vacuum lines and such in place
and the proper distributor and air cleaner...looks dead on factory.
The owner of the mechanic shop that services the car states that it is one of the best driving cars he has serviced.

Body panels all look to fit very well, no signs of funny business.

Same for the hood...decent gaps and very clean.

So...there you have it.
Keep in mind here that this is not a car that we have personally inspected, but based upon the
conversations I have had with the owner, and the photos that she has provided me here, I do feel confident that it is
a car of quality. If I saw or heard something spooky, the car would not be on our website.
Seriously interested parties will be turned on to the owner for in depth questioning and of course the car is available for local
inspection for anyone in the area that wants to check it out.

Vehicle is located in Coldwater Michigan.
