1973 Standard Beetle For Sale

The car all told has just over 100,000 miles since new.
The current owners bought it in 2007 (already restored) at about 97,000 miles,

The car shows some minor flaws from use but really presents itself nicely.

Window rubber and glass all look great.

73 was the last year for the smaller bumpers...in 74 they got fatter and
had shock absorbing brackets.
I like the mudflaps...nice accessory.

Its a pretty car indeed and the owners have put a fair bit of time and
money into making it the best it can be
and maintaining it properly. Its a "turn-key" car...ready for
fun and adventure.

The body looks quite straight although the owner did mention a couple of
flaws
I believe you can see one of them in this photo right next to the headlight.

Interior is very clean.

Carpet fit is perhaps slightly wrinkly...but all in good shape.
The center console is a nice little addition

Seats are in nice shape and are holding up well

headliner is in good condition

Door panels look good!

No rips or tears or big stains anywhere.

Rear seat is clean as well...seat belts are installed at all points

Aluminum threshold plates are also a nice addition.

Door seals and window rubbers all look good.

Running boards are clean

Window scrapers look good

Nice gloss to the paint.
Not perfect, but still very very presentable.

Tires are good all the way around.

Under the front trunk is clean with a carpet kit installed loosely to keep
your groceries from banging around!

The 1600cc engine runs like a champ and get great gas mileage.
The owners have serviced it well and have replaced several parts such as
the carburator
and more during their ownership.

12 volt electrics were standard from 67 up, so it has the bright lights
and reliability factor.
Oil bath air cleaner is from an earlier model Beetle.

Pretty clean and dry underneath...nice to see.

Chassis looks very solid.

No huge build-up of gunk on the front end either...

Very solid chassis.

In closing I think this is a great little car.
It looks like the restoration was well done and it also looks like it started
out as
a very solid and sound example to begin with. The proper maintenance and
the reports
of it being a delightful driver are the sorts of things I always like to
hear.
Great looking car, dont you agree? And it's well priced and a rare find
in the Southern States in a condition like this.
A bargain at
$6,950 obo
