Flying Dutchmen Mopeds?

Ok ok...perhaps we have gone a bit off our rocker here...but hear me through.
A good friend of ours here in So Cal recently came across the "mother lode" of vintage moped parts and bikes.
It seems that there was a shop in nearby Glendale that was one of the epicenter spots for mopeds back in the
late 1970's, and the kind old gentleman that ran it eventually closed up shop and stashed away
a few bikes and a bunch of parts. The two bikes you see here are virtually new, as are the parts and other goodies.

These were display models on the showroof floor of the small shop in Gelndale and have been amazingly well preserved.

The red one here was loaded with the full array of accessories and it really is a stunner.

Folding shopping basket panniers are ever so cool

Front book rack, full turn signals and a Cat-Eye horn...all like absolutely new.

Chrome is bright and clean, decals are fresh and beautifu.. true time warp.

Here is a sampling of the extra parts that this fellow has...there are more than what you see here.
These can be negotiated for...not included with the sale, but certainly could be if the price was right.

Sales records and receipt books and a whole lot of other memorabilia from the shop is available as well.
If you are wanting to have a simply amazing collection of Moped history...this lot is for you.

Period helmets too!!

Price wise the bikes are in the $2000 each range, and the parts and goodies will be
above and beyond that depending on just how deep you want to go.
Obviously a big "lot price" could be negotiated.

Step back in time to circa 1980 (or so) and buy these bikes and parts... an amazing find indeed.
