1985 Porsche Carrera Targa For Sale

This is a super clean example that has been lovingly maintained and driven by it's adult owners.
It has been shown at local Porsche Club Concours events and has placed in 1st or 2nd place consistantly.

The black paintwork is very clean with very minimal wear and road chips.
The front hood and bumper of the car were reportedly repainted due to stone chips a number of years ago
the rest of the paintwork is said to be original.

Very very clean machine and it is a strong runner with a good maintenance history.

The glassy black paint is stunning...check out that reflection.

Clean California title and current registration.
Car passed the stringent California emmissions testing just this past November.

Targa top is in very good condition and folds properly.
Tinted windows give the car a nice sinister look while keeping the interior safe from the blazing sun.

Very straight down the sides.

Good fit and finish to all panels.

Fog light lenses are excellent and werereplaced with new ones recently.
OE chin spoiler is new as well.

Wheels are factory 16X7" in the front and 16X8 in the rear.
Rear tires were replaced about 10,000 miles ago with Yokohama rubber.

Nice shot showing how smooth it is down the sides...no parking lot rash or damage.

Here's a little list of some recently replaced parts and service done to the car...

New Gas Cap, New Gas Flap, New Targa roof panel seal (rear), New Headliner, New Blaupunkt radio,
New front and rear speakers (Eclipse and Blaupunkt)
New updated AC evaporator and compressor, lines all replaced about 5 years ago...R12 refrigerant.
New Kuell below dash AC vent, New 930S steering wheel and bushing, new hood struts and front trunk carpet kit,
Brake pads and sensors (front) replaced less than 10,000 miles ago
Transmission was serviced less than 5000 miles ago with fresh lubricants and a new passenger side axle flange seal.
Car and engine have approx 115K miles since new and runs superb with no smoke, oil burn or leaks.
New plug wires, cap, rotor, and Bosch platimun plugs replaced less than 2000 miles ago.
New deck struts, new OE idle stabilizer, Rebuilt Bosch starter approx 5000 miles ago,
New "chip" from 911.com, New DME relay...and the list continues.

No accidents and no rust or nasties...this is a very good example of a desireable black on black Targa.

Engine room is very clean and as mentioned before the car runs excellent.
Preventative maintenance wise I would suggest a valve adjustment soon.
Only other known issues are that the clutch pedal creaks when compressed (new bushing kit included)
The windshield washer is currently not functioning...thats about it... the rest is good!

Front trunk is very clean, carpet kit was replaced recently.

Factory tool roll appears complete and in nice condition.

Original space save spare, nice clean trunk area.

Interior is original when it comes to the seats, panels, dash and carpet.
A few upgrades such as the 930S steering wheel and a new headliner.
Audio system has been upgraded as well.
All the seat controls are functional.

Underside of the Targa top is clean.

Back seat area is clean and tidy as well.

Very nice original door panels.

Overall a very clean example that is a tru turn-key ready to go machine.
The owner loves it and is a bit emotional about the sale, but he has decided he needs a new toy
so the old one needs to go to make room.

The 911 Porsche range is experiencing a rise in value currently that is quite staggering.
As the early 70's models escalate into the stratosphere, these early 80's cars
are soon to follow...so now is the time to get a clean example while they are still affordable.
