1956 Beetle Sedan For Sale

This is a good looking Classic Oval for someone on a budget.
Its not a show car, or a perfectly restored example, but it's not some beater either.
Its an attractive driver with a fair bit of style and priced at a very reasonable level.

One of the most striking features of the car has to be the fender skirts.
You dont see them that often on cars and they really do give it a great look.

Just plain cool looking ride eh?

Proper "W" decklid.
Euro style bumpers with the short guards.

Body and paint are decent, but not flawless.
I noticed some very minor variances in the color between panels...as if some touch up has been done at some point.
Its minimal, barely noticeable, but it looked to me like some panels were off just ever so slightly from the others.
Might have been the lighting, or the dreary eyes of a photographer with far too little sleep...

Chrome looks good, nice and bright

Two tone wheels with nice radial tires.

Nice reflection down the sides.

Correct 56 taillights

Some body damage on the rear engine lid.

Fender skirts are reproductions and seem to fit quite nice.

This is a Euro model car with the semaphore turn signals.

And yes...thy work!

New window rubber and seals most every place.
Trim is nice and bright.

Owner states that he has other headlight buckets for the car which he will include with the sale.
Nice accessory horn grilles.
Missing the hood crest emblem.

This lens is cracked...but apparantly the owner has another.

Tires look like new

Spare is painted up to match...good tire there too.

Trunk area is painted black and is slightly scruffy, but nothing a nice trunk liner wouldnt cover.

Wiring looks OK...extra wires into the glove box for a modern stereo.

Underside of the hood.

Spare tire well looks a little scruffy but is pretty straight.

Body tag is missing but body number is intact.

Looks like there may have been some very light repair here...but overall not to bad!

Interior has a decent look to it but is not done with the proper material for the year.
Front seatcovers are a bit stained but owner states he has a fresh set that match that he will include with the car.
Beer tap shift handle was in there as a joke...stock knob is in place now.

Steering wheel is a bit aged and the horn push is from a later model.

Block off plate for the radio is unpainted.

Modern stereo tucked in the glove box.

Accessory fuel tap extension.
Carpet is in good shape but is a budget kit.

Here's the right knob on the shifter...much better

Grey interior works well with the green exterior...not 100% stock but still tasteful.

headliner looks good.

1600cc single port engine makes the car go.
Good runner and driver according to the owner.
Photos were taken at an event, so I was unable to take it for a test drive
but the owner and his family drove it to and from the show...so I know it's a runner.

12 volt altetrnator and an 009 distributor.

A little wet underneath but noting major to be concerned about.

Floor pans look quite solid

Not bad eh?

Sorry for the poor shot here...

In closing this is a fun car to take and play with as it is and restore and improve over time.
No major issues with it in my book...looks like a good solid car, and just as it sits it gets the looks and smiles.
Load the kids up in the back and go...not so nice that you will bring home the trophies, but nic enough to have fun with.
