Let me start by saying this is without a doubt the cleanest 74 Super Beetle that we have ever had here on Oldbug.com.
As you pour through the 80+ photos of this one you will see that is is really in a league of its own.
Not a lot of folks use the Super as the basis for a build these days, so it is a bit refreshing to see one done so nice.
There are a lot of very unique and very special modifications done that make it a true one of a kind.

At first glance it looks fairly normal...but very clean.
Nice bright color and matching wheels, she's a looker.

The real attraction to it for me is when you get in close and start seeing all the work that has gone into it
to make it something truly special.

Paint quality and attention to detail is top notch.

All of it like new and super clean

Out back is a fully detailed performance engine..2276cc with 48 Dellorto carbs

Lots of special little details that dont jump out at you right away like the chrome trim in the center of the rubber bumper strips
and the custom made filler strips to fill the gap with the "stand off " decklid.

The interior is where it really gets wild with very impressive woodwork  all over.

The wood trimmed interior is really unique...but best of all the finish of it looks
fantastic...it is so well done.

All super clean...fresh trim, nice accessories such like the gravel guards and fingernail guards under the handles.
The running boards are heavy duty billet aluminum.

Disc brakes hid behind the color matched and super cleanly detailed Empi 8 spoke wheels.

Fog lights under the bumper...headlight eyebrows on the lights.

Extremely straight and smooth down the sides.

One heck of a smile!

The original spec pumper guards in place and again the chrome detail on the rubber bumper strip is pretty slick.

A matching trailer comes with the car that is customized and detailed to the extreme to match the car.

Here from this angle you can see the side shields on the engine lid as well as the hitch and trailer mounting.

What a great little rig. This car has been a very consistant show winner wherever it goes.

Spotless

Look at the underside of the trailer with it's hand made wood trimming to cover the tongue and frame.

Ceramic coated Bugpack exhaust system.
Deep oil sump on the engine.

Full custom interior with more special woodwork

This is not everyone's cup of tea...if you are a fan of original spec interiors...this car is not for you.
But if you want something truly unique...keep on looking at these photos!

Under the front hood is fully trimmed with wood and custom upholstery.
Check out the slick "spares" kit with a set of spark plugs and goodies carefully cut into a special holder in a case

Interesting little gravel guard lip along the front apron.
Underside is all black.

This car is obviously the result of a true labor of love.
This is the luckiest Super Beetle in the world to get this level of attention.
Like it or not you have to give the tip of your hat to the guy that built it!

Under the custom panels inside the trunk we find the original c]jack and spare all detailed as well.
Check out the custom formed wood trim along the top of the apron here...wow!

These little details are pretty slick...note the cup holders and little storage spot behind the front seats.

Another wheel detail.

Look at these pewter Beetles mounted to the top of the air cleaners.

Check out that dash, and the carpet trimming and details...this guy went nuts with it!
Wild wood steering wheel and matching shift knob.
the gold rimmed gauges with ivory faces...the billet aluminum steering hub, etc.

Back out in the engine room look at the smooth polished alternator and stand and the colorful powder coating
on the engine tins. Check out the wood trimming continued into the engine room here along the sides !

Spotless keeps on coming up in my mind.
The car is a runner too...he has put a few thousand miles on the car already
and he sent me a video of it driving (sounds very healthy by the way)
it is fully functional.

Look at the finished wood firewall behind the engine!

What a jewel

Chrome hinges and spring.

Billet aluminum distributor cover and sending unit cover for the instruments.
Billet dipstick and pulley...not to mention the stainless braided lines.

Hex bar linkage connects the 48 Dellorto carbs.
Chrome coil mounted on the firewall.

Yellow plug wires with dividers.

Sweet.

The inside of the trailer is upholstered to match.

Under the deck are upholstered dividers to hold all your cleaning supplies and goodies.

When the decks are down it hides all your stuff.

The headliner of the car is trimmed out with wood strips and at the front a special over head shelf for stowage of your goodies.

The rear seat backs and armrest hinge up for more hidden storage.

Look at the nice black edge trim surrounding the engine compartment too.

The custom seats and center console.

Door pockets with lids

Door panels with the wood trim along the center...very unique.

Dash mouted tachometer with shift light

Factory headlight and hazard switches mounted in the wood dash.

Monster audio unit in the dash as well.

The vintage style instriments ave very pretty...almost nautical in design.

Detail photo of the instruments.

This photo shows the custom overhead compartment...perfect for your sunglasses, maps and registration...

Look at the detail in the door jam with the clean paint finish and new rubber seals.
Aluminum caps over the screw holes in the door jam...nice little touches.

You can see the upper shelf through the windshield just a pinch.

Everything is just so clean!

More trailer detail...so cool.

Located in Oklahoma by the way...

Look at the finish on the wood!
And the matching bumper guards too.

Look at the custom chain covers for the trailer...

Disc brakes out back as well!

In closing it is obvious that this is a very special car.
Wonderful attention to detail...endless unique touches...a real labor of love for it's owner and builder.
But the time has come for it to find a new loving home...and I hope it gets just that.
