1951 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale
Truly one of the rarest and most desirable Beetles of all time...a "Split Era" Cabriolet.
While many collectors feel the Hebmuller is the top of the heap, the Split Beetle Convertibles are actually
fewer in number. Finding a good early example like this is a very tough task and most end up selling well below the radar
through private sales. It is not often at all that one of these comes available on the open market.
This stellar 1951 model is well known in the US VW scene and was restored to a very high standard
and fitted with some extremely tasteful and rare period "speed equipment" upgrades such as a full Okrasa
engine, Abarth exhaust, Porsche transmission and brakes as well as early Porsche instruments.
The quality of the restoration is exemplary and it certainly is among the very best in the country.
