1965 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This little Beetle comes to us from the state of Minnesota.
It is a 65 Beetle that is owned by a sweet lady named Lois.
Lois loves her Beetle but it is time to let it go as she just
isnt using it much
and could use the funds for other things.

The car is a good one and looking underneath it it looks really solid
for a Minnesota car.
It was repainted several years ago and still looks nice.
This is not a "restored" show car but it is a presentable and cute
driver.

When the car was painted in the current dark red it was done so inside
and out. Its nice to see that they pulled out the dash bits when they
painted everything
...no overspray on the instruments and stuff that way...almost looks
factory that way...much better than leaving the original color under
here or
just spraying over everything like I have seen so often.

The engine is a 1600cc dual port that is a good runner.
12 volt electrics, alternator conversion, 009 distrubutor, looks like a
recent coil and possibly carb too.
Not fresh or shiny but the owner states that it has been a reliable
runner for her!

The interior is pretty clean as well. Black panels with white seats and
headliner.
Window rubber and door seals and such look pretty good.

Nice stock steering wheel with a good horn ring."
Aftermarket radio in the dash but it does not appear to be the kind
that would require cutting the dash to fit.
There is minor wear and age to everything and a little overspray on the
hood release knob, etc.
It again is a decent "driver quality" car rather than a show car.

The seat padding on the drivers seat is a little weak but the material
is in nice shape.
Rear seat is covered but is clean below.
Speaker panel behind the back seat...headliner looks decent from what
we can see here,
not sun baked under the rear window or anything like that.

In this shot it looks like the window scrapers are in good shape and
you can see a bit more of the headliner as well.

Seat frames and side panels have been painted body color.
Running boards are perhaps a little bumpy up close... most likely they
were budget
replacement units that just do this sort of thing over time.

The body of the car looks nice and straight and the paint holds a shine.

The color matched wheels kind of dull it down a little...I think going
back to an original style two tone on the wheels
would give it a lot more "curb appeal".
Of course the "on the grass" look with the cute dog in the foreground
looks nice too!

The exhaust looks to be a custom set up with the tip poking down under
the drivers side fender.
Tires look good from what we can see and the chrome on the bumpers
looks decent as well.

When someone calls me from the mid-west or east coast and tells me they
have a car for sale, I am always concerned
about rust issues as these old cars just dont handle the nasty weather
and salted roads very well.
But when I see a photo like this is is a relief...this old car looks
pretty solid to me!

There is some surface rust forming but Im not seeing any rot.

Even the back sides of the pans look very solid!

The engine is grubby underneath, a car that has been used and driven.

Im sure it drips a drop or two when parked but it doesnt look too bad
below!

In closing this looks like a good honest Beetle.
If you live in the area and can go get this one yourself rather than
paying for shipping on one out here on the West Coast
it would be a huge savings for you. Its a decent looker and a
good runner and
I think it is priced at a very reasonable level considering the
location and condition.
