1964 Custom Beetle Ragtop Sedan For Sale
The car is very freshly done and was built from the chassis up...very nice
quality workmanship.
Very classic "Resto Cal" stance and appearance where no major
body modifications are made...
the original goodies being retained such as body trim and such.
There are a couple of mild changes on this one such as the louvers on the
rear engine lid and the removal of the fender top
turn signals on the front. Early style glass taillights were chosen over
the larger plastic lens versions.
Engine lid has "stand offs" to give it a bit of a hot rod look
and allow a bit more air into the engine compartment.
Paint colors have quite a bit of pearl in them so the finish truly glistens
under the light.
The car is well accessorized with chrome and extra bits...the icing on
the cake.
Empi 5 spoke wheels, billet aluminum running boards, gravel guards on front
and rear fenders, passenger side mirror
jack plug caps, and more.
Gorgeous tri bar headlamps in the stock housings, front turn signals wired
into the parking lights.
Fog lights on the US spec bumpers, note the early style Wolfsburg Crest
emblem and Volkswagen script
The bullet hole graphic on the hood covers a small chip in the paint that
the owner has yet to repair.
Other than that the condition is excellent.
Ragtop sunroof is a great addition to the car...and the rare accessory
wind deflector is a very cool thing.
Wood slat roof rack is very clean.
Instruction decal still on the rack.
Sunroof rails are nicely polished.
Excellent chrome and nice quality bumpers.
Third brakelight is pretty slick... note the Empi plate frame.
Arizona title and current registration...car is located in the Lake Havasu
area.
Clean detailing behind the bumpers
Pop out windows!
Engine is very cleanly detailed with a lot of chrome and custom trimmings.
Displacement is a mild 1641cc...a car built for cruising...not the drag
strip.
12 volt electrics with alternator, dual carbs for a bit of extra power,
slick color matched distributor cap, wires
and pulley. Louvered firewall and billet aluminum distributor trim are
also nice touches.
Vehicle runs and drives excellent.
Clean detailing in the spots you dont normally look.
Clean under the front hood as well...check out the slick gas cap!
Underside of hood sprayed with a sound deadener texture coat before being
sprayed with body color.

Underside is very solid with new pans on both sides.
The two tone scheme is very nicely carried inside on the dash and doors.
Dash remains stock in appearance with a few nice accessories to dress it
up.
Gorgeous custom steering wheel, flower vase, "trigger" shifter,
tunnel basket, under dash tachometer.
Here's another shot of the "banjo" steering wheel.
Early style mirror and visor combo with day/night mirror add on.
Headliner is well done in a grey velour material
Seats are done in a very nice grey tweed with grey vinyl sides and backs.
Fat Boy subwoofer speakers tucked in behind the rear seat.
Orange neon lights it up all cool at night.
Head unit tucked nicely into the glove box.
Note the neat little vent trims on the defroster vents at the corner of
the windshield.
VW Club of America decal in the window matches the car amazingly well.
All in all this is quite the little showpiece.
Well built with a very nice eye for details by someone that really took
it on as a labor of love.
This is a Beetle that will draw admiring stares on the road wherever it
goes and will probably fare quite well
in the show circuit as well. It is stunning!.
