Here is a seriously slick looking custom 71 Bay Window Panel Van
that is located in Southern California.
Built by a long time shop in the area for a customer that wanted something super cool.
And super cool it is!
Great overall look and feel to it, very clean and fresh and ready to play with.
The Bus us a very interesting one in that the black paint color is original from the factory!
Of course, it has been repainted, but it was originally ordered in black with is very rare.
The body and paint is very nice on the Bus as you can see and it is well trimmed with the
full length roof rack and the sweet 17" Fuchs style alloys.
The body matched bumpers give it a nice subtle custom touch as well
The interior is done in red which looks amazing against the black.
Very nice seats and dash...has a quite clean and fresh look to it.
I like the smooth finish down the sides...the panel vans and so slick...truly the "box on wheels"
The rack has been color matched as well which helps everyting flow together visually
Nose emblem has been shaved smooth ,
headlights are flat lens H4's that look great.
So slick
Nice and straight body on this Bus and it is very solid underneath as well.
Peeking in that sliding door you can see a bit of the inside, which is as slick as the exterior.
Very clean and simple interior treatment with beautiful finished wood
strops along the side walls and a cleanly installed "rock and roll" rear seat that flips out into a bed.
The wood strips are beautiful and add a lot to the feel of the inside.

Awesome wheel choice and wrapped with recent rubber.
Glass is all excellent, the Bus shows very well indeed and has been driven minimally since completion.

Inside of the cargo door is finished in wood as well. Headliner is excellent.
71 is a great year for the VW Bus as well...the last year for the upright Type 1 engine and the first year for
the power assisted disc brakes. These are excellent drivers!

Mechanically the Bus has been fully gone through as well with a rebuilt 1600cc engine that runs just great.
Brakes, steering , clutch and trans are all excellent. This is a turn key, ready to enjoy kind of ride!
