1965 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

Stock body with no midifications, chrome wheels and Porsche style
fluted
headlight lenses
are abot all I see that are not totally "stock" but they obviously
add a nice bit of flare to the car.

Straight and smooth body, clean and bright chrome, nice fit and finish.

Its a sweetheart dont you think?

Chrome looks excellent, trim is bright and clean,
nice to see the fender beading and rubber seals all in good shape.

Hood seems to fit the car well without any big gaps that you see on
some
of these cars.

Smooth down the sides ...the Karmann body badge is in place.

Nice looking car.

Proper decklid is in place...bumpers are reproductions but the
condition
appears to be excellent.

Nice shot down the side...

The interior is done in a very attractive "tomato soup" red with
off white piping.

Dash is clean and un-modified.

Two tone door panels look excellent...this is the perfect color combo
for
a white car in my opinion.
Very attractive.

Seats look in excellent shape...nice to see the three point seat belts
in place for safety.

Dash detail...note that the grille mesh behind the grille is black...so
when the dash was painted
it was done with this bit off the car, which is a good sign of a
quality
job.

Odometer reads 76,241 miles at the time of these photos.

Fuel gauge is an original and is functional.
You will find quite a few of these 60's Beetles with replacement fuel
gauges...and
the aftermarket stuff just doesnt look right.

Original radio is still in the dash...one button is broken but
otherwise
it looks quite nice.

Back of the rear seat.

Under the back seat looks decent...I see a little surface rust under
the
battery here that should be treated
but the chassis photos from below show it to be solid.

Glass is all good

Top frame looks clean...headliner done in black.

Under the front hood is tidy with a simple carpet kit in place.

Gas tank and cap look very clean

Very clean in the spare tire well. Body tag was painted over but it is
present.

Not bad!

Under the hood

A few scuffs under the front apron and the underside has normal road
grime
but everything appears to be quite solid which is important with a
convertible!

Coilover shocks

Tires look to be in good shape

A little surface rust on the suspension components but nothing crusty.
The Texas climate has been good to this car.

KYB GR2 shocks in the rear.
Take a peek up in at the pushrod tubes under the engine...they look
brand
new to me!
Engine has definitely had work done to it recently.

Top side the engine looks clean and it runs very well.
This is a 1600cc single port, 12 volt electrics with alternator.

Bosch coil and a mechanical advance "009" distributor.
Looks pretty tidy.

Stock oil bath air cleaner is in place.

Decklid has the rain tray in place which is important for a convertible.

Exhaust pipes look clean.

Top is done in black canvas and is in good condition.

But top down is where the real fun begins!
The car looks to be a "good one". I like the cleanliness of everything
and that
it looks to be detailed well and everything well fitted. I dont see any
sings of rust or repairs in the photos
which is a huge factor in a Converible...a lot of these cars get quite
rusty...this one looks to have survived well.
A great summer car and a wise investment in "Precious Metal"!
