1957 Euro VW Beetle Sunroof Sedan For Sale

This gorgeous Mango Green 1957 Oval Ragtop is much more than meets the eye.
Super top quality work, many very subtle custom upgrades and a bunch of special parts.

This is a European delivery car with the semaphore turn signals and smooth bumpers.

Great color and a wonderfully clean and well done paint finish

The 17" wheels are a nice styling upgrade without being too bold or bling.
Stock bolt pattern, so reverting back to stock would be a snap.

Check out the rare bumper guard fog lights and the fluted headlight lenses,
I also like the accessory horn grille trims

The car is super solid underneath...this was a full, body off restoration
but the chassis was not detailed for show, it was built as a driver!
Check out the slick hidden turn signal lights behind the horn grilles.

The chassis is totally solid.

The car has been driven a fair bit since the restoration, but it has always been garaged and well pampered by its
fanatical owner. Just a wee bit of road grime underneath, but no big leaks and certainly no rust issues.

Underside of engine is clean, no heater on this one.
Owner will throuw in a fresh new exhaust system with the deal if you dont like seeing this one with
a little surface rust on it.

Floorpans are excellent

Very sound and solid in the fender wells.

Great plate!

I like the opo out quarter windows and the colors of the sunroof and runningboards.
Great classy subtle low key look to this one.
Beetles look good in any color...but this one really looks fantastic!

The dash and interior are super clean and the level of detail is high throughout.

Check out the Porsche gauges and the hidden instruments behind the speaker grille!
I love the VW logo detail on the radio block off and the amazing steering wheel and shift knob with pattern.
I also spy a cruiser pedal accessory and nice large logo early style pedal pads.

The car was featuerd in the 2008 April issue of Ultra VW Magazine.
The car has been stored well and driven sparingly since completion...perhaps about 5000 miles on the car since.

Out back the engine is spotles and hosts a very vintage speed look and some modern performance.

I love the oil filter and 356 style filler.
The 12 volt 356 generator is also a sweet addition.

So cool!
And it runs fantastic.
Nice bit of power and with the 4 tip exhaust it sings a nice song when
you give a stab to the "go pedal"

Rear apron is the correct early style H pattern.
The engine is a 1600 with new case as41
with dpr crank and rods lightened flywheel that are  matched weighted. Stock cam.
Cylinder heads are CB Performance 041 with big valves, pistons are Gene Berg matched weighted and carbs are Caddy Shack Kadrons.
Tins are all powder coated. case is tapped for the bypass 356 oil filter . the generator is a small diameter 356 12v unit . on the oil fill is a custom fabricated 356 one to fit the beetle engine.
Trans is a later tunnel trans with later super beetle gear for added strength. Brakes are big finned aluminum Porsche 356 b units that have been fully rebuilt.

Very clean in the nooks and crannies.

Pop out windows are a must have with a sunroof car.
I like the level of detail with the correct silver ringed dome light and the correct coat hooks and assist traps.
Headliner looks great and is in the correct material.

Super rare bumper guards

Winderfully clean and well detailed under the trunk

Check out the amazing Porsche 356 seats with headrests and recliners!!

Fantastic interior!!

Rear seat done to match

Super clean under the dash

Very rare steering wheel

The hooded Porsche gauges in the dash are fantastic as well

German square weave carpets

Floors are perfect underneath

Super clean!

This is an awesome car inside and out.
It was built with an impressive attention to detail and with all the special upgrades like the engine and the Porsche brakes
as well as the instrumentation and all the rare vintage accessories, it is a car that stands well above a lot of the similar style cars that
you may find for sale. This one was built by a serious VW nut with a long history in these cars...he did it right, did it for himself
not for resale, and the overall look and feel of it is top shelf!
Car is located in New Jersey.
