This 1965 Beetle Convertible is a very clean mild custom car with a whole lot going on for the money.
Located in Florida, it was built here in California as a show car by Rich at So Cal Customs.
The car has been garaged since coming to Florida in 2006.
It rides on a 72 model chassis with IRS rear suspension.
Four wheel disc brakes with the wide 5 pattern keep the vintage bolt pattern and allow the use of the classic 5 spoke wheels.
Subtle pinstriping on the front hood and fenders above the headlights.
Clean small Euro bumper guards on the blades.
Turn signals shaved off the top of the fenders .
Earlier style plate light on the Convertible only decklid.
Porsche headlight lenses look very cool.
Amber bulbs in the headlight buckets for the signals.
Very good tires on all four corners.
145 15 rubber up front...the four wheel discs are a great upgrade as well.
Nice stance...not too low...not too high.
The tan interior and top are a great contrast to the paint color.
Step on in and start cruising!

The dash is very stock and clean...nice to see the stock steering wheel in place and a radio block off plate in the middle.

Check out the decklid mounted body seal that allows for a smooth look at the apron.
This car was restored and modified frame-up...not just a quickie restoration by any means. The quality is very nice.
.It took a third place at the famed VW Classic in California in 2005 or 2006.It was shown once in Florida at the Pasco Bug Jam and it took a respectable 2nd place.
The 1776 motor was designed by FAT Performance and built by JSE Racing and it is an excellent runner.
Built for just a bit more power without the need for dual carbs and the hassles that go with them.
