This is a very eye catching custom Beetle that has been rolling around the So Cal scene for the past little bit.
With it's chrome plated fenders and aprons it really stands out in the crowd.
Its a very fun idea and the execution of it was very well done.
The aprons were removed fron the car and plated along with the fenders and runningboards
and then re-installed.
Definitely not something I have seen before and from the very first glance it etches into your memory
...just when you think you have seen it all...something like this pops up!
The early style "W" decklid is another cool change
as well as the early taillights.
The interior is full custom as well with sculpted flame seats and panels in red and grey tweed.
The shaved body trim and classic Cal Look stance.
Centerline wheels and Euro style bumpers
Ragtop sunroof is cool as well,
Fully chromed out engine room with a 2276cc poerplant with 48 Weber carbs and all the details.
It is a "go" car as much as a "show" car!!
Check out the amazing billet aluminum flamed steering wheel, the billet gauge panel with LED instruments
and the wind interior treatment.
This is not your Grandpa's Beetle!!

The car was a full custom build brom the bottom up.
One piece door windows ad to the smooth looks.
Other little details like the shaved wipers and signals also smooth things out a lot.
This is a pretty impressive car.
While I am sure it will not be everybody's cup of tea, it is truly something that is unique and eye catching in the VW scene.
Nice car...a lot of time, attention, creativity and money went into this build.
If the chrome fenders are not your thing...the owner has stated that he can swap them for painted ones if the price is right.
