1960 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

This southern California based 1960 Beetle convertible is a clean and cute driver that has been in the hands of the
the current owner for 20 years and the previous owner since new...that is right, this is a two owner car since new!

The car remains quite stock and unmodified with the only real upgrades being a bit larger engine,
12 volt electrics and a more modern radio.
Its obviously been repainted and the top and interior done at some point, its all in nice shape,
very presentable fun driver, not a show car.

Has a great look to it...very clean in white.
Body looks wonderful on the car, trim is all nice and bright.

Top is in very good condition and fits well.
Decklid and taillights are correct and in good shape, bumpers look excellent.

Nice ride!

Interior is clean and comfortable. Seats are done in off white, door panels and carpet in black.

You can see a little paint wear on the shifter and such...this is a driver, not a trailer queen
but it has always been well cared for and has been a part of the family for both owners.

Never lowered or customized.

Accessory gravel guards and wheel trim rings.

Chrome looks good on the window frames, glass is good.

Windows all have the proper trim as does the top along the bottom edge

Its always parked nice and safe in the garage.

Often used for drives down the coast in the beautiful California weather.
A perfect car for this sort of thing!

Looks like the rubber on the top is holding up well...everything in good overall condition.

Palm trees, blue sky and a classic convertible... this one might be a car to pick up personally.
Fly in...pick it up and drive it up the coast!
Sounds dreamy!

The dash is clean and appears to be uncut.
The modern radio looks like the small size unit that fits in the stock holes.
You could put an original radio back in there if you wanted that all stock look.

Nice fit to the front hood which is always confidence inspiring.

I have asked the owner for some photos under the front hood and some from underneath as well.
I will add them to the page here as soon as I have them.

Engine is a 1600cc dual port that runs very well.
Rear apron is the correct original but has some paint loss that is hidden when the engine lid is closed.
12 volt with alternator and 009 distributor.

Tires are good, caps, trim rigs and wheels are excellent.

Karmann body badge is in the right spot.

In closing this is a very good car with a great history and just two caring owners since new.
Stock, clean and straight and very clean and cute.
There is a lot of fun to be had in this car for sure!
