1967 Westfalia Camper For Sale

Firstly, let me apologize for the less than perfect photos of this Bus.
With limited time, a camera battery that was going dead and minimal light in the parking garage the Bus was stored in...I did my best.
So enough of that...what we have here is a very desireable Bus indeed. It is the king of campers, the 1967 Westfalia Pop Top Camper
with the highly prized walk-through front seats!
The Bus has recieved a recent cosmetic restoration tht I would put into the "amature" catagory.
Its very clean and pretty but it lacks the detailing and accuracy of a tru professional job.
But that is certainly taken into consideration with the asking price.
Top level Campers are now starting to make big gains against even the"big daddy" Deluxe Microbusses
when it comes to value and the writing is on the wall...I think they may even catch them some day!

The campers are great vehicles, and while they may lack the sunroof and skylight windows of the Deluxe
they more than make up for it with their fold out bed, ice box, table and endless storage spots. They are
amazing amounts of fun to take to the beach or the wilderness, sports games etc. Its like having a little
house on wheels, wrapped in the coolest package ever...the split screen VW Bus.

This one has a nice attitude about it. Its clean and cute and has a few nice accessories.
The body seems pretty solid and straight, paint is clean and attractive, but not flawless.

Attractive two tone paintwork, nice straight nose.

Funky headlight deivder accessories over the lights.

Deluxe Bus bumper trims on the front.

Good looker.

Rockers look pretty straight and solid.

Nice repop wood slat roof rack on the top.
Crank out side windows are in very nice shape.

Pop top canvas is in like new condition.

Stock 14" Bus wheels with radial tires in good shape all the way around.

Rear wheels

Backside looks pretty good.
There is a pinstripe on the white beltline that sets things off a little.

Current registration and clear title.

Engine is a 1776cc unit with dual carbs.
The Bus has been in storage for a little time and the battery was dead when I arrived for the photos...so I was unable to hear it
run or take it on a test drive, but I have dealt with the owner several times in the past and have no doubts that it's a good runner.
She promised to have it tuned and ready to go for the new owner before it ships off.

Underside of the engine looks pretty dry.

Back outside for an overall shot...

Camper windows are in super clean shape.

Camper goodies inside are also quite clean.

The ice box is from a slightly newer model Bus.

Pretty clean inside.

Seats have been recovered in a nice soft material and are very clean.
Very cool wood flooring.

Jump seat.

Walk thru front seats are a very desireable option for the year.
Inner panels have been sprayed with a pebbled look "zolatone" type finish.

Roof panels are very nice.
Modern storage unit and dome light dealie on the air box.

Great nautical feel to the finish on the roof.

Dash is mostly stock with a few extra gauges and a modern audio unit.

Another shot.

Front seats are done in grey vinyl with velour inserts.

Another air box shot.

Floors look pretty solid but I think there has been a little repair done.

View in from the drivers side.

Extra switch holes and an empty gauge hole too.

Center pod has been painted blue.

Pioneer head unit.

Happy face.

Popped up and ready for action.

In closing this is a good Bus for someone who is looking for a fun family adventure wagon.
The finiky collector should take a pass due to the diversions from the "factory equipment" perhaps,
or just be prepared to deal with it. Its a good looking machine indeed and it will get you
a ton of kind comments on the roadway and it's nice enough that it would be welcome at any VW event
but just dont expect to take home any concours trophies...it's not that kind of Bus.
