If you are looking for one of the nicest 67 Squarebacks in the world...this car is surely in the running.
Absolutely goregous body off restoration of a rare sunroof model Squareback.
Loaded to the gills with the rarest of the rare accessories and tons of NOS parts used in the restoration.
No expense spared and no stone left unturned...it would be hard to do much better than this.

The restoration was done a few years back...completed in June of 2004.
It has been a very consistant award winner at all shows entered, and it is no trailer queen either.
The car has about 18,000 miles on it since completion and the owner even drove it across
the US as a part of the Gene Berg Cruise. It has been meticulously cared for and pampered and looks as fresh
as can be. A try turn key drive it anywhere show car...a rarity in the scene today.

The icing on the cake are all the super desireable accessories that are visable at every move of the eye.
From the roof rack with matching vintage luggage, to the overrider bumpers and Type 3 only mudflaps
the car has it all.

There have abviously been some mild variances from the way it left the factory...
such as the mild lowering job, the Mahle "baby gasburner" Porsche wheels, and the two tone paint job,
but yet it retains a vintage look and feel to it...a car that all can appreciate.

Hats off to the owner and builders for making it a "real car".

The interior is as impressive as the exterior, not only in quality and condition, but for its
dazzling array of rare accessories.

Back seat is excellent as well...and it too has a hidden suprise...

Happich sunroof deflector, Door seals, Trip speedo, Fuel cluster gauge, driving lights, complete headlight assemblies,

fuel tank sending unit, fuse panel, inside rear view mirror, side marker lenses, license light lens, outer door handles
door and hatch locks and the ignition switch... all genuine original New Old Stock stuff !

So...there you have it...what a gorgeous little wagon.
The accessories alone brobably add up to a good quarter of the asking price, the engine and trans combo
is a pretty hefty dent in the wallet too...then ad on a true body off professional restoration to a solid factory
sunroof car... there is a lot of bag for your buck here. This level of workmanship doesnt come cheap these days
and the accessories are getting higher in price every time I turn around...go out and price an original Empi GT wheel
(a REAL one...not the repros) and you will see what Im talking about.
I think this car is a very good buy for the price.
Sometimes the best costs a little more...in this case its worth every penny.
