1957 VW Beetle Sunroof Sedan For Sale

Stunning!
That is the first word that comes to my mind when it comes to this Utah based 1957 sunroof Oval.

A beautiful car inside and out in a fantastic color combination, very well restored and
dripping with some great accessories and vintage style upgrades.

The level of detail is high on the car, this was not some "quickie" restoration.

Everywhere you look the car appears in better than showroom condition.

Great details wherever you look

Wiring is excellent, all the correct dash details are present.

Restored jack and handle, matching whitewall tire and wheel.

Spare tire tool kit is another great accessory.

Interior detailing is excellent as well.
Very minimal signs of use such as a couple of small scratches on the handbrake handle.

Proper mohair headliner and oatmeal carpets

Red Wolfsburg logo seat belts offer safety and style.

Rometsch style steering wheel with thumb grips, Motorola "Big M" radio in the dash.
Picture perfect.

Door panels look great

All door seals and gaskets are in excellent condition.

That black and red color combo is just SO sweet!

This is a factory sunroof car and the seller has the birth certificate from VW to show it.

Clean under dash with no holes or modifications.

Black rubber flooring looks nice, the hardware on the shifter and the pedal assembly are all cleanly restored.

So good.

Body and paint are very very nice with smooth sight lines down the side and a very nice gloss to the finish.

The two tone with red sides, while technically not factory for this particular car,
truly look wonderful and is a flashy and classy choice by the restorer.

This was a body off restoration when done and the underside shows minimal wear and dirt from use.

Certainly built to show level, but the car is not a "trailer queen", this is a turn - key, ready to enjoy car.

Very solid body and chassis

Nice stuff.

Empi style Camber Compensator improves handling.

Very clean under the engine.
Everything was fully rebuilt and restored on the car.

Abarth style performance exhaust with four tips.

Very clean under the engine lid

And what a beautiful sight (and sound).
This 36 hp engine has the Okrasa performance package with dual carbs, heads and oiling package
that boost performance significantly. My experience with them is that it feels far more like a 1600cc
engine than the base 36hp,  Really an awesome upgrade making the car far more enjoyable to drive
as well as keeping the look and style period correct as these set ups were around when the cars were new in the 50's.

The four tip exhaust sounds really awesome on this as well...much more "sporting" than the factory "tweeter pipes".

Its just sooo pretty!

Excellent chrome, everything in its proper place.

The sunroof of course is a major value add not only in price but in enjoyment level.
There is nothing quite like a good ragtop Beetle.

Nice ride indeed.

More interior detail shots.

Well done and well kept.

12 volt conversion on the electrical system is a very welcome upgrade.

Very solid and sound in all the important places.

Very nice quality interior

Steering wheel is an accessory wheel that was often found in the Rometsch and other coachbuilt cars.
The grip has a different texture to it than the standard wheel and the little "thumb bumps" make for easier grip.

Slide that big sunroof open and let that blue sky in!

From every angle this one is a jewel.

Nice one eh??

Here are some engine room detail shots

Very clean!!

Love that tool kit!

European fluted lenses on the headlights

Cleanly restored and detailed in the spare tire well.

All body tags and numbers are present and it is the original body to the chassis and is a factory sunroof car.

In closing this one is as pretty as can be.
Well done and well kept, show quality but drive-able,
Tasteful period style upgrades and a beautiful color combo.
This is a car that is guaranteed to attract attention and smiles on the road or showgrounds.
I wish it were mine.
