1960 VW Panel Van For Sale

This Dove Blue 1960 Panel is located in Arizona.
Its been in the hands of the current owner for a little while,
but came from a friend of his that had passed and was the owner for 25 years.

Its a good runner and driver, has its bumps and bruises but great character
and a happy vibe to it. Current owner has made the run to Busses by the Bridge
in Havasu from his home in Prescott without issue.

There is some paint fade and patina going on, but it does look like it
would buff up and shine fairly well if you wanted to make a pass with the buffer.

The roof rack and fog lights give it some unique personality.

Being an early model with the glass taillights and the small rear window
it has a great character from the back.

There are a few dents here and there.

Pretty straight down the sides overall.

Not bad indeed!

Inside it has the hard to find cab divider and a fold out bed from a Westfalia

No frills interior... just space and a place to lay your head.

Original splash guard and an oil bath air cleaner included.

Side walls inside have been sprayed with a black texture coat.

Black interior panels screwed in place

Funky stickers on the original primer under the roof

The Westy Z bed is in good shape and very functional

The original cab divider is a cool item that is often missing in Panels like this.
I dig it though, and very cool to see it intact with its proper glass window and such.

The big roof rack is a cool accessory and definitely adds some character to the Bus.

Clean black door panels up front

Church key for the fuel door

Room for cargo!

Gutters are solid, just a little surface rust

Dash is clean and unmodified

Clean and simple

Front seat has a taped up rip on the back

Fresh air vent are looks good

Wiring looks decent.

Nice peek at the inside of the nose

KYB shocks up front

Looks like some filler cracking on the nose, but minimal.

Better nose shot from the outside

1600cc dual port and 12 volt electrics.
Runs really well.  The transmission is a later model big nut that does
seem to have a rough 3rd gear synchro, but it does still drive great.
You don't spend much time in the lower gears with these vehicles.
Old and slow is the name of the game.

Engine lid hinge detail
This one is a bit loose

Engine room close up around the battery.
All the numbers and tags are in place as they should be.

Big nut trans

Rocker panel shot

Some definite weakness here to the jack point.

There is some rust underneath, mostly surface, but there are some spots that need attention
or show signs of previous patching.

Inner rocker on this side is blown out along the bottom.

Some rust through on the outriggers

Jack point shows signs of patching in the past

Not great, but not horrible either

Under the engine and trans look pretty standard from a driver quality ride.
Some dirt and grime and a wee bit of oil, but no major leakage or concern.

Framework all looks solid

Some rust at the front center support

Front end looks good. All stock.

Under the front floors and lower nose area.

In closing this is a great old simple Panel that is road ready and is ready for new hands.
Drive it as is or restore it, its cool either way.
