This is a truly wonderful early Westfalia with the "sub-hatch" that has been in the So Cal VW scene
for quite a while. The restoration was completed about seven years ago or so and it has been wonderfully kept
and pampered by it's owner.

The paint and bodywork on this bus is fantastic...I mean really nice!

It features many one-off custom touches that really put it into the next level..check out this slide out table
in the back that has legs that flip down!

The rails it slides on are stuck to the carpet with velcro...so no screw holes!

Slid back into place as tidy as can be...awesome!

Very cleanly detailed in all the corners.

The Bus has been in attendance at all the "Big Wednesday" events!

Safari windows up front, the bullet turn signals, the yellow and black California plates
awesome through and through.

Dash is super clean.

Shift extender.

Modern audio system is again attached with velcro so it can be easily removed without
leaving big holes...the small speakers up front are covered with matching material.

I did see a little door drag scratching on the passenger side door jam...this is really
the only notable flaw that I saw on the Bus!

Front floors do show signs of welding repair, but it is cleanly done and very very solid.

Headliner and visors in the front are done in a tweed material.

Super clean.

Front seat is done in a tweed and vinyl combo as are the front door panels.
While not an original material for the year, it sure looks and feels nice.

The sub hatch door on top opens up to provide a spot to stand.
Custom surf racks are installed so you can haul your long board!

Here is another super trick bit.
This is a shelf inside the small closet on the passenger side.
The shelf hinges and slides back and is held in place by that leather strap in back.

Another little leather strap hold some nice wood hangars in place when the shelf is down.

When the shelf is up, you can hang the hangars here.

Nice detail on the latches.

Oh...here is a shot of that little shelf snapped in the open position...nice eh?

Floors are done in an amazing matching wood finish and a very cleanly done carpet set snaps in place to protect it.

Underside is very dry.

No rust under here!
There is one small rust spot in the drivers side front wheel arch just behind the wheel that the owner
is taking in to a reputable shop to repair. This is a small coin sized spot..nothing major
and he states that it will be properly repaired and the chassis undercoated cleanly prior to sale.

Wiring is excellent...very clean.

Nice to see this level of cleanliness.

The engine is an excellent running 1600cc single port that is super super clean.
12 volt electrics.

Engine room is clean as well.

Gorgeous!
And it runs and drives fantastic.

The interior is simply stunning.
So incredibly clean and well trimmed, hreat color choices...WOW!

Cabinets are clean inside and out.

Vintage camping equipment in the one closet
check out the round mirror on the back of the door here too.

Curtains are wonderful.

The ice box with it's wood slat shelves...WOW!

This is seriously one of the cleanest Camper interiors I have ever seen.
While not 100% "original" from the purist point of view... it is impressively pretty and well done.

Headliner panels are nicely finished.

Aluminum trim around the hatch door is polished like new.

Excellent!!

The tweed material on the headliner panels looks great.

Wow!

Nice little access door...

Perfect spot for the cleaning supplies!

VW Trends Magazine Cover Car!!

Nice article!

Nice fold out table

Vintage aluminum camping cups and such...NICE!

These speaker boxes are not screwed in place, they can be easily removed without lasting marks.

Westy interior lights.

What a beautiful spot to sit!

Wow!

What is cooler than this?
Not much in my book!

Check out that cool vintage flashlight!

A little sand on the mat (as it should be)
A quick wipe and it is gone but I like to see that the Bus is driven and enjoyed now and then.

Steering wheel is excellent.

Underside of the engine is very very clean...not a leaker here!

Proper glass lenses in the taillights, not aftermarket stuff.

Fit and finish is excellent all the way around.

Euro headlights.

Glassy smooth bodywork.

Sweet sweet Bus.

Safari windows!

Excellent tires on the stock 15" wheels.

Impressive bodywork.

There you have it!
This is a fantastic Bus.
Top quality through and through...not over the top "mirrors underneath it" but it has been a very
prolific winner at ever show it has been entered in and it is very easy to see why.
If I hit the Lottery numbers this week...it is going in MY garage!
Until that happens...it is up for grabs!
