1964 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

The VW Beetle production in the 60's went through many progressive refinements.
While many changes were subtle and the overall look and character of the cars remained
the same, but to the VW enthusiast, these little details are an important way
to tell each year apart and to make some years a bit more special than others.

1964 was one of those years that brought in a few minor changes and also is the
final year for many of the earlier model attributes.

64 was the final year for the smaller windows all the way around that came into play in 1958.
The next year would bring much bigger glass and thinner posts.
From this angle you can see the "new for 64" wider license plate light.

Up front the changes for 64 were minimal with a larger turn signal on the fender.
Gone was the Wolfsburg crest above the hood handle as well.

This car rolled off the assembly line in April of 1964
destined for Jacksonville Florida.
It was delivered in L87 Pearl White, the same color it remains today.

A lovely restored 64 model and a great example to learn from.
This will be a truly stunning addition to any collection.
They don't get much nicer than this.

Really well done with the proper color matched running boards and fender beading.
Wheels painted two tone as original and the only visible options on the exterior
are the passenger side mirror and the pop out rear quarter windows.

The restoration of the car was completed in 2007 and was a complete pan off professional
job by the masters at West Coast Classics in California.
Photos of the restoration accompany the car, and it roughly has about 6,000 miles on it since completion.

A prolific award winner for its current owner in Illinois, meticulously maintained and cared
for and never exposed to harsh weather.

Every nut and bolt was attended to and it remains fresh in appearance from top to bottom.

New tires were installed about 350 miles ago as well as a fresh Optima battery.
