1966 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This impressively clean original low mile car is a repeat visitor to Oldbug.com
being bought by the current owner just a few years back from its previous seller.

Minimal miles put on the car during current ownership,
and that is why it is being put up for sale again...its just not getting as much use
as expected, and rather than see it sit, he has decided to re-list it and find a new home.

The rear luggage rack was added during current ownership and it adds a little fun and function to the car.

The interior remains in excellent original condition.
This is a factory sunroof car too by the way...quite desirable.

Tourist delivery decal remains in the window.

The car is currently located on Martha's Vineyard
in Massachusetts and has a clear transferable title/registration in the sellers name

The 1966 Mass plates are cool.

38,411 miles on the odometer which is just 455 miles since purchased,
and this is believed to be the actual original mileage on the car since new.

The original interior is impressive,
still the factory material all around with the exception of the passed steering wheel cover
and the modern coco mats. It looks like the seat belts may be newer as well.

Excellent radial tires all the way around.

Clean and original under the hood.

Excellent running all original 1300cc engine

Happy current owner at a local car show.

Really a delightful Beetle inside and out.
The above images are all fresh, just taken of the car as being sold in Massachusetts.
Below Ive attached the previous listing of the car when it was located in Florida,
and was in the hands of a fanatical VW enthusiast that we have dealt with many times.

Below is the listing from when purchased a few years back.

This Florida based  original survivor Beetle is a very rare find in this condition.
It is also in a very desirable color combination and has the highly prized factory sunroof!!

The car was delivered new in Germany, driven on a grand adventure and then came to the US
where it has lived the rest of its life. It has miraculously survived the years with just 38,000 original miles
and retains its original everything by all appearances...it is a time capsule!

Bahama Blue is the paint color, which is arguably the most iconic VW Beetle color of the 60's.

The condition inside and out is impressive.
The car reportedly has had one exterior repaint in the original color, and it was a high quality job.

Original interior is fantastic...more on this in a bit.

Original owners manual, European paperwork and travel map.

Extremely solid and rust free

Impressive care has kept this car solid and out of harm from the forces of nature.

Sunroof closed...

Sunroof open...

Headlights are bright and clear with the original German lenses

Original jack is still clean and shiny

Spare tire well is rock solid and clean, with all original finish and labels in place.

Dreamy

Original paint code label is still clearly visible L-519 Bahamablau

Original tool toll, wiring cover and trunk liner.

Wiring is all intact, original and clean.

Factory Blaupunkt speaker still in the dash.

So clean!

Original engine was recently re-sealed.
New pushrod tubes and seals, flywheel seal, trans seal and a new clutch.
The brakes were done all the way around with genuine German parts.

The original 1300cc engine runs like a sewing machine and has all the correct factory details in place.
Note the valve adjustment sticker, the factory hose clamps on the fresh air hoses.

Looks like the original Bosch coil is still with the car...its just all so pure!

Original F series engine case.

Correct original Pierburg fuel pump

That factory sunroof! Oh yes!!

37956 original miles as of these photos according to the owner and the condition of the car sure backs that up.

AM FM SW radio is a rare unit!

The only non original items in here are the steering wheel cover, the coco mats
and the Wolfsburg crest decal in the center of the dash.

Headliner is in amazing condition and the sunroof opens and closes perfectly.

Even the rarely seen seat retention strap is here !

Original carpets throughout.

Original upholstery

Still 6 volt electrics

Look at the condition of that drivers seat...almost looks like it has never had a butt in it!

The interior is really nice, and this has not been restored!

Accessory window vent shades.

Original hubcaps and trim rings

This is my favorite part on the car...the original Tourist Delivery decal is still clear and complete on the glass!

Wow.

Hard to find a survivor like this these days! Under 40k original miles, great history
impressive condition inside and out and fully sorted out mechanically so it is ready to drive and enjoy!

And finishing the listing with these current pics so you can see
the condition remains fantastic.

Great car, well kept and cared for and ready for a new home.
