1968 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

Screaming yellow zonkers Batman! She's a wild thing!
Freshly done Cal-Looker 68 Convertible with only about 1000 miles on it since completion
four months ago. This car was built to be a fun driver, not an over the top show car
but obviously it is a pretty showy bit of work.

Several nice subtle modifications, like the de-chroming of the body, the shaved turn signals
and the early style bumpers with short guards.

The paint quality is nice and it is in good shape. I only saw one little scratch on the drivers side front fender.
The rest looks very fresh and pretty.

Here you can see that little scratch...

Nicely done conversion for the bumpers.

Empi 8 spoke wheels, color matched with three bar knock off center caps.
Really smooth 80's look to it.

Nice stance, a little lowered but not "slammed"

A bit fatter rubber out back,

Just smooth and clean.

New taillight lenses, and all new rubber.

Smooth sides.

You can see the reflection in this photo fairly well...it's good paint.

Gas door.

Top up she's a looker too.

The top is in excellent condition and is done in black stayfast canvas and fits well.

Engine is a freshly built 1776 with single carb.
Clean and color matched...good runner and driver.

A little bit of chrome and the aluminum pulley give it a little custom flash without being gaudy.

Lots of new parts wherever you look like the new Bosch 12 volt generator.

Chrome decklid hinges, bottom side of engine lid is painted but not overly clean.

Smooth apron.

Underside of the engine shows pretty clean as well...nice and dry.
Header exhaust, so no functional heater.
New shocks too.

Passenger side floor pan under the battery has a pop riveted patch...it seems solid but should at least be sealed
better from below so it doesnt spread...or have it done properly.

The suppert rails look fairly sound though.

No signs of any noteable rust in here which is good.

Drivers side pan is much nicer.

Back up to the shiny parts...it's a good looker dont you think?

Under the hood is pretty basic, but pretty clean.

Not show detailed but functional.

Alpine amplifier for the audio system.
Wiring looks clean.

Painted in all the corners.

Good straight hood.

Matching spare wheel and tire.

Hood closed...

Great summer beach car to be certain...lots of looks and smiles on the road.

Dashboard is clean and nice and color matched.

Mileage on the car since the restoration and mechanical work is just shy of 1000 miles according to the owner.
Actual totla miles on the car are unknown.

Modern CD stereo system sounds great with door mounted speakers, and two 6X9 speakers in back
as well as a hidden subwoofer under the deck behind the rear seat.

Grant GT wheel.

T handle shifter.
Carpet is new as well,.

Door panels are done to match the seats and look great.

Another dash shot..

Interior is very bright and clean.
Lowback front seats, new seat belts, etc.

Headliner is done in black vinyl...a little wrinkly but in new condition.

Sun visors are missing

A very bright and fun interior.

In closing this is a clean and fun car priced at a reasonable level.
A lot of time and money went into the car and a whole truckload of new parts.
Nice quality paint and body, clean and cool interior, good running fresh engine, good tires, nice top, etc etc.

A lot of fun for the buck here.
