This clean yellow 69 Convertible is a 2 owner California car since new.
The current owner has had it for 35 years and has given it a fantastic home.
The car was repainted in the original color back in 1988 and the condition of it today is impressive!
It has always been garaged and treated like a member of the family.
The mechanicals on the car have just been redone and the engine was rebuilt a few months back and has less than 100 miles on it!!
New clutch, new shocks, new battery...it runs fantastic and is ready for a a lot of summer fun.
In a few of these photos the wheel trim rings were off of the car, they are included are are now fitted
(and as you can see in the top photo...the car looks much better with them on)
The car is fully functional and is very pretty up close.
The top fits and functions well and is done in the stock black vinyl.
Odometer reads in the "teens"...engine was rebuilt about 100 miles ago.
Chrome looks very nice, rubber and trim as well.
Nice to see the original bumper guards in place.
Interior is totally stock and very clean.
Top looks great...nice to see the chrome trim around the rear window too.
Seats look very nice..again, details like the buttons here show that the car is done accurately and original.
Rear seat looks excellent.
1600cc single port engine runs like a top!
Here's a shot with the trim rings on the wheels...I think it livens it up a bit.
Paint looks very nice and considering the age...you know it has been well treated.
No dents or damage anywhere...all very nice.
The Karmann body badges are fitted to both sides of the car and sit slightly higher than original
but they add a nice touch.
There are perhaps a few tinly chips and scratches if you get super close...
Tires are excellent by the way.
Spare tire well has been repainted.
And is overall quite clean and solid.
New shocks have just been installed...car underneath is wonderfully solid!

Under the engine is all very fresh and clean...but sight down past that and see how solid that chassis is!!
This is a very rare thing to find a 60's era convertible that has an original chassis this clean and solid!!
In closing this is a very nice car.
I love the long time ownership and obvious care for the car.
The condition looks very clean and with the fresh mechanicals and that stunningly solid underside...this is one worth grabbing.
