1971 Westfalia Campmobile

This super clean and well preserved 71 Westy is back up for sale with us after being purchased off the
site a couple years back. The current owners have used it just a few times and have only added 308 miles
to the odometer since purchase, but it has been well kept and cared for and
remains in the same condition as when purchased.

The camper is currently located in Ohio
with a clean title and current registration.

The originality and preservation of this camper is impressive.
Its hard to find them this clean.

Inside and out its a very clean original Bus

Current Ohio plates

Tent and gear are still with the bus.

Interior remains in excellent condition

Current odometer reading shows an additional 308 miles since
purchased.

Comes with an excellent car cover too.

The photos below are from the previous owner.
Since the condition is unchanged and the added mileage is so minimal
we figured it would work to include them in the ad as they are so extensive.

This is a truly impressive all original survivor 71 Westy.
Its got all the trimmings and a fully documented history with just 68k original miles since new.
(+300 miles now...)

Previously located in South Carolina prior to sale to the current owners,
this Bus was bought from the daughter of the original owner
where it was used by her father in Nebraska for fishing trips.
It has always been stored inside and has been extremely well preserved.

The owner at the time was a true VW fanatic and he has gone through the Bus
to make it the best it can be with a rebuilt carburetor, distributor and fuel pump.
Rear bumper and wheels have been restored and powder coated and brand new tires installed.

It is fully operational and runs and drives beautifully.

The condition is really spectacular for an original paint and interior bus of this age.
Nothing quite like a well preserved original.

Lights and lenses, all the original German parts

It comes with the full array of original accessories including the side tent, child's cot,
mosquito screen, complete curtain set and even a period folding toilet with spare bags!

A few stone chips from use but truly impressive shape, and again, this is all original, not restored.

Even the printed markings on the sliding door are clean and present! Insane!

Wow

Rock solid !

Interior is excellent!

Spare wheel and original German tire looks like it has never been out of its slot.

Mosquito net for the rear hatch.

So solid!

Controls for the gas heater

Even the original flooring in thee back is in impressive condition

This is the original front curtain!

Spectacularly solid underneath

Current mileage today is 69,196
Just 308 miles since this lower set of images were taken.
(current photos at the top of the page)

Original keys...two sets!

Everything works

Rare dealer installed tachometer.

Original manuals included

Factory gas heater!

New battery

Canvas and roof top cot in excellent condition

Child's cot

Side tent and toilet!

Original Nebraska plate included

Great documentation of mileage all through its history.

The details are endless

The whole history of service and mileage is here!

Very very hard to find a well preserved original Camper like this, and it has the added cool factor of being
perhaps the best of the early Bays...a 1971 model, and it also has every accessory and original detail that
you always dream of finding.  This is a rare catch...don't let it get away!

Finishing up with a current photo of the Bus at its home in Ohio.
What an awesome original survivor example this is.
