1959 Beetle Sedan For Sale

This sweet all stock 59 Beetle is a returning "customer" to the site.
The current owner bought the car around 9 years ago or so from us
and brought it to Pennsylvania from its previous home in Michigan.

He has kept the car well serviced and stored and has only put on a few hundred miles during his ownership.

These photos at the top of the page were just taken recently of the car
and show it to remain in excellent condition, virtually unchanged from when purchased.

Great little all stock Beetle...I just dig them in black!

Current odometer photo

All original interior still shows quite well with minimal but expected wear for the age.

Looks like a little staining on the headliner under the rear window.

Stone chips on the nose.

Under the hood is all original and well preserved

The little 36 horse engine just purrs along so sweet.

Solid car underneath as well...looks to be all original sheet metal here

Pretty confidence inspiring to see this underneath...not often that you find them this solid
especially on the East Coast!

Photos below were taken of the car prior to the current owner's purchase in 2015.
Seeing as it has remained so much the same condition during his ownership,
we figured we would blend the old and new images together here for the presentation.

What is it about a basic black all stock Beetle?
...they look so cool, so "old" and so classy at the same time!

This is a very nice, humble and honest original Beetle
Original paint and interior, numbers matching engine, etc...all stock and quite well preserved.

The car has had some new trim and such, but the owner wanted to keep a very "pure" original look to it
so the exterior and interior were just gone through and cleaned and preserved .

As you can see in the set of photos above, the car has it's wear and tear, but it is all original.
There is something about a car like this that has that warm, worn, and wonderful.
You can see, feel and smell the passage of time. A restored car just lacks that no matter how hard you try.

Great car

What a beauty...eh?
The car has the birth certificate from Wolfsburg that shows all the numbers and such.

There are some chips and scratches and wear spots as you would expect for being 56 years old

The interior is the original...the seats have been carefully re-stitched in spots,
new floor mat rubber and seat belts have been installed.

The car is not perfect, it certainly shows signs of its age,
but it has a pleasing patina and that awesome old VW smell.

Some nice wear along the threshold and a cool old VW dealer service sticker in the door jam.

Carpet has all but worn off the sill in front of the seat.
When the current owner got the car he did remove the seats and had them re-stuffed and stitched and he checked out the floor pan
carefully. It is a very solid car...the only rust he c=found of note was a pencil sized hole at the back edge of the
pan that he patched up with a good waterproof tar material. The car has been kept garaged
and out of the weather...it is a very dry car overall with no signs of body damage or repair.

Lovely!

The original 36 horse was pulled out and completely gone through by a very old and very particular
German ex-VW mechanic and it simply runs like a sewing machine.
A wonderful driver that is fully sorted and ready for fun.

Steering wheel shows nice wear on the ring...this is a car that has been driven.
No radio...has never had one.

Back seat looks very nice
Headliner is holding up surprisingly well for the age and being the original wool material.

Under the front hood is all straight and clean and untouched

Original jack is in place as well as the fiber trunk liner

Looks nice in here...the whole car just matches perfectly.

Glass is excellent

Small bit of tint on the windshield behind the mirror to help eliminate glare...easily stripped off if desired.

Headliner looks wonderful!

Here you can see some of the missing piping on the drivers side seat...
the seams had split and have been re-stitched.
This is original material in here though!!

Love the manual choke and the radio block off plate

New black rubber mats on the floor, but the carpet is all original

Some minor staining on the headliner material, but nothing major

Original door panels  as well

And that's the end of the pre-purchase photos.

Finishing up with some current shots...this remains a really wonderful survivor car.
Well kept and cared for and ready for a new caring home.

All original with a fantastic soul and it runs and drives fantastic.
A very reliable 6 volt survivor,...never modified or messed with.
This is what a vintage Beetle is all about...simple, honest, approachable.
And it is a fantastic value at the asking price.
