1962 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

A lot of cars are being pitched as being "survivors" these days.
More than ever before the truly all original examples are being
celebrated and chased by collectors.
Really...in the truest sense of things...all the cars out there for
sale have "survived" the test of time,
but not many have truly done so with grace and some divine force field
around them that
has kept them in near showroom condition.
This is one of those cars.

57,000 original miles since new!

Original everything...headliner, interior, body, paint, engine...all of
it.

Reportedly ALL original paint on this car...and really in impressive
shape.

The underside has been left untouched...not primped and cleaned...but
just as it is.
Impressively solid and rust free example.

Bumpers and all parts are original

Original numbers matching engine
Original German fuel pump...it does look like the distributor has been
swapped for a mechanical advance unit.

Original glass

There are a couple small chips and scratches as you might expect...but
these do not detract
as you would expect...they show proof of the originality.

Original color matched running board covers are starting to shrink just
a bit.

Chassis is superbly solid and still retais the factory undercoat

Super straight! Nice gloss to the original finish.

Interior is all original and unrestored!!

Superb!

Body tag

Again...just left as is underneath.
A little cleaning would do wonders, but I like the fact that it has not
been touched
...it just shows how well the car has been maintained during it's life.

Beautiful car!
This car did spend some time in the Imperial Palace collection in Las
Vegas.
The current owner has had it for 6 years. The Imperial Palace folks
bought it from the original owner.

Beautiful

I love the original shift pattern instruction sticker. I also like
seeing how nice the paint is around the key and ashtray.

Very rare to find an original cloth headliner in this condition!

Door panels and seat covers are all original...carpet as well.

Under the front hood is superbly clean and all untouched as well.

Chrome is really nice!

Glove box looks amazing

Just a little tiny bit of wear to the carpet along the drivers
side...and the coco mats are helping preserve the original
mats...this is really stunningly clean and original stuff in here!

So clean and obviously all original in here

The underside of the hood has been coated with an undercoating at some
point to help quiet things down a bit.
It does not appear that this was done for any other reason.

Steering wheel shows only the most minor wear.

Original wiring cover and trunk liner in amazing shape.

Here in this photo you can see that the seam along the top of the
drivers seat is just starting to seperate.
A good upholstery guy can repair this without leaving a mark.

Seats otherwise are in amazing shape for being original!!

The engine is another stunning thing to see...all so clean and
untouched!
This must be a very early 62 model production wise as it has the stale
air engine.
So clean!!

Wow!

Truly impressive original shape!

Nice wood slat roof rack

Original jack is in place.

Nice original Bambus parcel tray

Original dome light

Hard to find fault with this one!
A couple of stone chips perhaps...the seam pull on the seat, the split
on the running board rubber
and the non original distributor...that is it...and I am really being
hard on the old girl.
You will spend a LONG LONG time finding a better all original example
than this.
Its a great one!
