1968 VW Double Cab For Sale

This is a seriously cool and unique custom Double Cab that is located
in the Seattle Washington area.
It has had a nice quality mild custom restoration done to it and
features a bunch of trick upgrades.

Black paint on a VW transporter is a tough thing to pull off, but
this one looks pretty sweet!
The chrome wheels look fantastic against the paint color and the
suspension drop gives it just enough
attitude. The body has been left quite stock with nocrazy modifications.

The color matched bumpers keep it dark and kinda tough looking.
Check out the reflection down the side in this shot...she is glossy!

The bed and side gates look great in the pics...I like the chrome
latches on the gates and the small details
such as the chrome bumper bolts...it just sets everything off so nice.

The graphics on the front are done in vinyl and do double duty as both
a very fun crowd pleaser at the shows
but it also protects the paint underneath from stone chips, etc.
This "wrap" can be removed if desired
revealing the nice smooth black paint below.

The nose wrap up close is a pretty impressive design with a printed
carbon fiber background.

The Jack Sparrow and Black Pearl ship ghost images are awesome.
At the shows and on the street this really gets the looks and it seems
that there is always someone snapping a picture of it.

Really awesome stuff...and the best part is that if this is not your
cup of tea...it would be simple to remove and
go back to the standard paint finish below.

The VW logo on the headband is my favorite part!

The rest of the truck is standard and clean and has a very good look to
it.

The bed is finished with a great bed-liner type finish that is very
good looking as well as durable.
The back sides of the gates remain smoothly painted and the whole bed
is covered
with a very trick custom tonneau cover.

Super clean!

Hardware is chrome plated and looks super clean.

Nice!

Engine room is clean and well detailed.
Mechanically this truck is a very good runner and driver.

Displacement is bumped up a bit to 1776cc but still with the stock
style single barrel carb.
Electric fuel pump with regulator, electronic ignition, serpantine belt
system...a lot of nice upgrades!

Tow hitch is a nice addition and the fat boy exhaust gives the truck a
nice beefy performance sound.

Header is wrapped with a high temp insulative cloth to keep heat to a
minimum.
Deep oil sump and rear sway bar are great additions as well.

The underside of the truck is quite clean.
Heater tube down the center is well insulated .

Looks very solid!

Nice to see that the underside has been dealt with...so often it seems
that people focus on the top-side stuff
and just cheap out underneath with some undercoating.

The interior in the truck is very tasteful with nice grey carpet and
seats.

Nice and clean in here.

Scat shifter is a cool upgrade as well as the modern audio system and
ashtray mounted cup holder.

Rear seat area is clean and well. VW event dash plaques and
decals are fitted to the divider wall.
Looks like the owner has a few Pirate props to go along with the nose
graphic.

Under the back seat is a nice subwoofer and Kenwood amplifier.

Back seat

Door panels are nicely done.

Rear windows are of the "vent wing" style...nice to bring ventilation
in for the back passengers.

Stock rubber floor mat sits under the carpet for a little added
insulation.

Carpet looks very nice

Kenwood head unit with remote.

Custom dash cover

Headliner looks good in black

Its a nice truck inside and out and obviously a lot of time and money
was invested
to make it into the slick ride that it is today.
Finding a good double cab is tough these days...and this one just looks
sweet to me all the way around.

Clean and cool truck!
