This 1967 Sedan is a pretty neat machine.
It has had a ton of attention to the mechanical bits with many many upgrades.
The body was left as original with it's natural patina showing proudly.

The car is located in Idaho and is a very very solid example.

The lowered stance and Porsche cup wheels tell you that it is more than just a normal VW.

When you peek underneath you realize that the tatty exterior conceals something very special under the skin.

The car was in essence..."restored" in every way except the cosmetic sense.
It was a body off job...the body removed from the chassis, and built up from there.

Behind the big Porsche cup wheels are four wheel disc brakes.
Adjustable suspension front and rear, narrowed front beam...no rubbing.

The interior is clean and seats are nice, recent carpet.

Nice audio system, Empi trigger shifter

Subwoofer behind the back seat.

Body is all stock and untouched...it has its chips, dings and scratches, but no major rust or damage.

Pop out quarter windows.

Its a bit of a "rat look" without being too "ratty".
It would be simple to do the bodywork and respray if you wanted something cherry...but as it is, it is really cool.

The engine itself is pretty clean but the surrounding metal was kept scruffy.
Its a "sleeper" for sure.

The engine is all a recent build with minimal miles and is a stomping 2054cc with 44 carbs and all the best stuff.

Clean rear spring plates.
Good rubber.

Low...but not slammed.

Floor pan is perfect...like new.
Everything was done under here.

New performance trans mounts.

Hydraulic clutch

Trans is a Rancho "Turbo Special" with 1st and 2nd gears from a later model Beetle
and a fantastic street friendly range. It can handle the power as it is fully heavy duty, yet is geared for the real world...not the drag strip.

A-1 "sidewinder" exhaust system, deep oil sump

Clean stock dash with a slip in cupholder into the ashtray home and a modern radio and steering wheel.

Headliner is in decent shape

A little sign of age, but no holes or damage

Passenger front fender is slightly beat but easily worked back in shape.

Seats look very nice.

Rear deck panel is a clean touch.

4 wheel disc brakes
adjustable coil over shocks

Chassis has been coated with a very heavy duty "rhilo liner" type finish.

In closing this is a pretty neat car.
It has had a lot of money and effort put into making it a very nice performer, but the owner decided to
go on stage without the make-up. It is a good, solid, honest car with nothing to hide.
