1971 VW Karmann Ghia For Sale
Located in Klamath Falls Oregon, This pretty Ghia is ready for a new home.
It is a very solid and straight example that runs and drives well and shows beautifully as well.
Its been in two shows and has won trophies at both of them!
The nose on this car is excellent...a rarity with this model.
Nice solid body
Floorpans are solid and original.
Underside of the engine shows normal use and road grime, but not a wet mess or anything to be concerned about.
Interior is very nice.
Taillights are in great shape.
This is the final year for the chrome bumpers with the overriders and a smaller taillight.
In 72 everything got much bigger and bulkier.
The body is nice and straight and the paint is glossy.
I like that I see all the factory body trim in place and that it remains totally stock in appearance.
The wood slat roof rack is a very fun addition as is the small rack on the rear deck.
Door sills are in good shape.
Dash is nice and totally stock,
Gauges are all in very nice shape
Very stock dash...radio is a more modern unit , but not one that required trimming of the dash.
Rear seat is in good shape...top is protected with a towel to keep the sun off.
There is a mount for a flower vase on the dash and an equalizer for the stereo underneath.
Carpet is like new, I like the center console as well,
Seats are in great shape and shoulder belts are installed for both front seats.
Original door panels look nice. Speakers mounted on the back corners.
The wood slat roof rack is really cool!
Original drain tray under the engine lid.
Matching decklid rack is also a great accessory!
Bumpers look nice and straight...I like the "cheese grater" tail pipe accessory as well.
VW logo mudflaps too!

Picture this one at the shows with some vintage luggage on the racks and all dressed out.

Tires are in good shape all the way around and they are matching.

Engine room is nice and clean and the 1600cc engine is the original one to the car!!
The car has 140k original miles.
The engine has been recently tuned, the fuel tank was cleaned out, all fuel lines replaced...it runs just creat!
The original owners manual is here along with a wide variety of service records for the car during it's life.
This car is a very nice one and with the fully known history, super straight and solid body
and the nice addition of some fun accessories, thi is a car that is going to be a fun one to own and drive.
I must say...I think it is priced at a pretty amazing level too...hard to go wrong with this one!
