1971 VW Super Beetle Convertible For Sale
This is a very beautiful restored 1971 Super Beetle Cabriolet located in Arizona
The car was a California car for most of its life in the Golden State, but was restored in Arizona a few years back and
is now located in back in California about 100 miles north of Sacramento.
The car was restored by the current owners father, who is a long time VW and Porsche fanatic with many restorations
behind him. A lot of recent work has been done to the car to fully sort it out and ready it for a new home.
All new brakes and master cylinder, new clutch, new starter, and new carburetor.
The engine has been completely rebuilt, which still has less than a hundred miles on it and still has the non detergent break in oil.
It also has brand new wheels and tires and hubcaps with less than 100 miles on them.
Its a beautiful car inside and out and shows very well.
Its not showroom perfect, but it is super clean and fresh.

Amber topped "Euro" style taillight lenses add a little color to the back end.
Excellent chrome, very nice body and paintwork.
The slightly wider than original wheels give it a very nice stance and attitude.
Nice to see details such at the hinge caps and clean finish work in the deep corners

Window rubber has the original style aluminum trim in place.

There are a couple of small flaws such as this little paint crack where the door meets the body.
There is also a small sot on one running board where the rubber has been scratched.
Here is another small flaw that has been touched up.
The 1600cc dual port engine has been freshly rebuilt and runs excellent

It is even cleanly finished under the front hood.
Interior is all fresh and new looking

Chassis is overall quite solid, as is the body.
There is one spot under the battery that I will show you later, but overall it is a very solid car.

Ok...here is the weak spot on the floor pan. Passenger side just forward of the battery.
It has been covered from the top side, so nothing is falling through
but this should be repaired properly and sealed up well at some point.
The replacement panel is readily available and it is a very common job to do on these cars.
The rest looks very solid and original.
Brakes have all been rebuilt
Tires are new
Interior looks very fresh
Headliner is excellent
Seat belts are in place out back for the kiddos
Luggage area behind the back seat looks tidy as well.

In closing this is a very nice example that has been well restored and a to of time and money put into it.
Its pretty tough to find an example restored this cleanly.
Full documentation of work done and a ton of receipts and some photos go with it.
